And all she wants is her stories to save people Also the scene where they are all saying goodbye and writing their final words, WHAT THE FUCK!! I cried so much. Each of them hold so much love for everyone.

BUT HOLY FUCK WE SAW THE ASCENSION OF AN AEON!!! Cyrene was Fuli. She is alone at the end of time keeping everyone's memories safe. BUT OH MY GODS OH MY GODS!!! I did NOOTTTT think we would ever see the Ascension of an Aeon.

Also Also Every time Mydei speaks about Phainon he says it with so much admiration and love. He knew he was suffering but he just wanted his friend back. DOOMED YAOI MY BELOVED.

Also I was SO fucking scared for Herta as she connected with Nous. I was TERRIFIED that we would get a Madoka Magica scenario, and the scenario we saw in the Myriad trailer. I was TERRFIED for her.

Also I love Screwllem. He's quite literally just a guy. But he also cares so much. ALSO PLANET SCREWLEMMM

Also I cannot believe that we got more of the Geniuses.

ALSO RUAN MEI AND HERTA LESBIANISM!!! I love it when we get lesbianism between these two.

ALSO!! BOOTHILL AND RAPPA CAME BACK!!! It was so good to hear Andrew Russel and Kendyll Bird come back for just a little bit. It seems we will be heading to Edo next and we will be learning more about Boothill as well. Also we will probably see La Mancha because Boothill says his Boss.

HOYO!!! GIVE BOOTHILLS DAUGHTER THE NAME CLEMENTINE AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!! I also hope to see more Galaxy Rangers.

My Theory is that Oswaldo is going to be a foil for Himeko because it does seem more and more likely that Himeko was a former IPC member, maybe Ruby. And she left to join the Nameless, and Oswaldo left the Nameless to become an IPC member. SO we will probably see this foil in Edo. Also I wonder how Boothill will react to Oswaldo being a former Nameless. But also Himeko maybe being one of them and working with them. Because The Marketing Department came up A LOT in this short interlude. I am SO excited.

Also the fact that The Galaxy Rangers were fighting on the Frontlines and Boothill was the one to find Dan Heng and Stelle/Caelus and bring them home. I want Boothill to find comfort on the Astral Express.

I am still gathering my thoughts but Holy shit the entirety of Amphoreus.

But anyways.

Glory to the 13 Flame Chasers, May their names ever be etched into the Poem of creation. May We See You Tomorrow and say Hello to the world Once again. This truly was a romantic story unlike any other.

I want to talk about Qifrey for a second and how much is foreshadowed for him!! I loved how Terrified he looked in the first episode when he saves Coco

We all know Qifrey has experience with forbidden magic and how dangerous and evil it is. He looks so scared for Coco. She could have been like him </3

 I also love how dissociated Qifrey looks here. He does not want to use the spell to erase Coco's mind. And to be honest I think the reason he doesn't is because of Olly. Olly wipes his mind whenever tree happens. He can't do that to Coco. 

Incredible shot but also So fucking evil knowing what is happening with Qifrey being a Silverwood tree, the fact that the blood is ink. I'm gonna cry.

But this is my favorite scene.

It's when Qifrey is talking to Coco about forbidden magic. He is turned away, his body is closed off via his arm, and he is looking down. I love how they animate Bodylanguage in Witch Hat Atelier because body language can tell you what someone is feeling without them saying anything. And Qifrey is terrified. He is scared. And the fact that it's only his good eye facing the audience speaks volumes.

Also the opening! By the gods the opening is so good!!! I loved it so much. I'm probably going to be talking about the manga in the shots of the opening because oh my gods the opening has so many implications about the manga. 

First things first! I love how it begins with the windoway with Coco standing in front of it, but also the forbidden magic seal! Its Coco’s doorway into the world of magic no matter if she likes it or not!

This is another one of my favorites!! But it is absolutely heartbreaking if you have read the manga. This shot. Oh my gods. It's got things of everyone she has ever met and loved. The compass as her guide from the test that's coming up in ep 3. The pens represent Tartah, there's a knife which I think represents Alaria, Richeh’s tassel that she has in the Serpent's path arc!! The ink bottle from the silverwood tree. Now there's two things in the foreground that I don't know if they represent what they do but, I think on the left there is a pen and on the right feathers. I think that represents Tartah and Custas. The two people who she cared about most. And the thing that fucking breaks me is the tree branch and the star being directly next to each other. That represents Qifrey and Olly. The sky's brightest star and a tree. But then there is another tassel right next to it that looks like the medics cross. It could mean nothing but hey, I think since it is directly next to the star i feel like its a symbol of Olly doing what he does to protect Qifrey (Iykyk)

This shot is really exciting as a manga reader!! It's got the three sages!! Including Beldiruit!!! I didn't think that they would show these characters until later later! But hey they are here and I am very excited!!

This is just a really cool freaking shot, I love it, and the fact that it's Coco’s hands putting the hats on the scales with her hats I think is interesting especially with the point we are at in the manga!

Silver Eve my beloved!! Oh gods I know the Silver Eve arc isn't happening for a long time but gods I cannot wait!!

Incredible fucking shot, I love that its Iguin’s shadow mirroring a brimmed hat as they try to talk to her! This is fucking incredible.

This is an incredibly beautiful shot AND SO FUCKING EVIL! God damnit!!! I love that it's Qifrey’s one good eye, and what's reflected in his glasses which are fogged over by the way, is the ink. Its the fucking silverwood ink. Its the thing that has been eating away at him for years. I'm gonna sob. This is such incredible foreshadowing and yet!! And the fact it leads into This shot Specifically!!

The trees, the panels and him looking so sad. I'm gonna break. This is such a good foreshadow, I cannot wait for anime onlies to see what's up ahead with Qifrey.

These shots are so fucking cute and I love how they move throughout the panels to move around the Atelier and speak to each other!! Good homage to manga in general and how Shirahama uses manga panels to show her story!!

This tree. This fuckass tree. Kill me. Im surprised though that they specifically showed the one Beldiruit has and not the one in Tartahs workshop. Is it because of Qifrey?Its probably because of Qifrey.

The Knights of Moralis are here!!!! This is really exciting and this means we are gonna be able to see them exist and move and I am so excited to see them! Specifically Luluci and the twins and Gelga (Go get your husband Atwert!!!) I am very excited to see Qifrey and Easthies interacting because we both know that they have beef.

My girls!!! This is such a beautiful shot of them in general! It also shows their personalities so well!!

This scene I have things to say about!!! Euini is here with Alaria!!! Im wondering if we are going to get to The Serpent's Path because we are only running on 13 episodes at the moment, but we also get in the ending Euini’s hand shifting into wolf form so Im wondering what they are doing here. I don't think we have the episode names fully for the season yet though. But everyone is here and I am so happy! Look at Tartah and Olly!!

Now I do think these are just scenes to showcase the joy of Witch Hat Atelier and I am VERY happy that they do show these scenes because Witch Hat is about joy and love and acceptance and wonder.

Anyways this has been my rant about the first two episodes of Witch Hat Atelier. By the Gods I am so excited and happy that this story has finally come alive. The cast and crew of both Sub and Dub and the crew at Bug Films and Kamome Shirahama herself, Thank you for everything you have done to make this story come alive. This story has changed my life for the better and I don't know how to thank you.

Okay.

I love and Hate Dottore with a PASSION. He is so intimidating and honestly fucking terrifying. Its all because of the Line delivery but also how they animate his character.

We got to see a bit of this in Sumeru. But I dont think when he showed up in Sumeru he had that intimidation factor.

But here in LUNA IV, He absolutely does and it comes with as said the way his character is animated and the line delivery from his voice actor were on fucking point!!

With how his character is animated, they had to give him a WHOLE NEW set of animations because we cant see his eyes (Columbina also has a whole new set of animations because we cant see her eyes as well, this patch did a REALLY good job on character animating). I think that makes him more intimidating brcause we cant see his eyes. But he is always facing straight ahead, and sometimes hes not facing directly at a character but the group and he is watching EVERYONE.

His walk is slow and Calculated, as if he has no where to be, Taking his time because he knows that he has time. Every time we see him meander up its always slow and calculated. And then the way he has his arms.

His body is never closed off. He is open. Even a hand behind his back. But this is a manipulation of body language because we as humans are more open to interacting with someone if their body language is open. But wr KNOW he is up to no good, but we keep our eyes directed on him at all times. If we compare him to Nefer who always has her arms crossed, during the cutscenes our eyes arent directed upon her, and frankly she probably wants that. But wr are always focused on Dottore. Another thing is that open bodied people we tend to trust more, because they are more likely not to hide things from us, but also tell the truth.

Its also how quick and Precise his hand and head movements are that give into the intinidation Factor. Again: He knows what he is doing and he knows how to manipulate.

From the last quest but the best way of showing it

When (Im just gonna use Lumine because I play her) Lumine was kidnapped by Dottore and they were talking, He didnt lie to us. He gave us each and every truth. But he used the truths we have to manipulate us. To try and get us to his side. Honestly I was half expexting Lumine to get trapped in the truths he told. But Lumine chose family (As she Should!!).

And the Line deliveries of Dottore are incredible. Each and every line was delivered with a period. As If he is stating a fact. A TRUTH. And its the fact that he is. Hes a scientist. He looks for the truth via Trial and Error. Ans when he finds it, that becomes a new fact. But its not just that the lines are delivered with a period, its the fact that the candance of his voice and how he speaks is so matter of fact. There is barely any rise or fall, and when there is its for poinancy. Again for Facts.

Also the fact that he took Lumine as a Hostage. Got her alone so she couldnt be swayed by her friends. And told her the umbridled truths to maybe get her to work with him. And Dottore never even tied her up or locked her away. He just SHOWED her what he could do within these experiment bubbles he created. He showed her that he could be a god.

Dottore KNOWS what he is doing. And He is TERRIFYINGLY good at what he does.

Also. The scene where he kills Sandrone, was MARVELLOUSLY executed. He wanted them both dead and only got Sandrone because she protected Lumine. And the way he killed her wasnt showy or big. No it was precise. The only blood was from her mouth. He killed her from the inside out probably. He knows that shes part clockwork mecha. So he just killed the human part of her. He is a doctor, and with his human experiments from Collei and even Crepus probaly (WE ALSO GOT A CREPUS MENTION IN THIS PATCH), he knows how the human body works. And how to destory it.

Also his "Death". You could see him struggling, but there is NO WAY that he is truly dead. Hes going to come back. Especially with that Glitch at the end of thr quest. Yeah. No body no death in my opinion. But also we have known that Dottore has scattered pieces of himself all across Teyvat but also Irminsul. We've been knowing this for a long time.

I think that Irminsul is going to burn sometime soon. And Im exxited to see what happens.

Also I will talk about LUNA IV ans honestly all of Nodkrai later because this dove hesd first into the old world of Teyvat and I got FED as a Lore enjoyer.

Also I HATE that I was right abour Sandrone's death in bring almost a mirror of Furina. I HAVE SO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT WITH SANDRONE OH MY GODS!! Sandrone being in a sense part of the Narcissenkrueitz order (Which is my favorite quest series in Genshin) was something expected but how DEEP she is tied into it is incredible.
