Morgan’s Tome Entry for Lysinthia. Still Accepting.

Research: BLEGH! She smells and feels horrible! Goddess what is up with her and those crest things? I thought Celica was unbearable, but Lysinthia feels a lot like Edelgard and they’re both almost as bad as Celica. So long as I don’t touch her I guess I’ll be fine? I can deal with them but.... Blegh! Whatever is up with their crests, it’s certainly worse than the rest. I don’t like it. Other than that, as a former Golden Deer I’ve grown to respect her attitude and dedication towards magic and hard work.

Pros: Adept with both healing and offensive magic, Lysinthia is one of the more versatile Golden Deer available for combat. Her eagerness to prove she’s not a child also makes her work harder. She seems to give it her all the first time around more so than others.

Cons: Worse than your average crest bearer. For me and my bleghness towards them. Perhaps it holds its own secrets and benefits? Until then, she’s a wild card. She also seems to be of low stamina like myself. 

Tactical Benefits: Distance, spell slinging, and getting back at Claude. I saw her once tear Claude a new one for implying she was a child. Definitely a use for the future. In combat she’s certainly adept at magic. Both healing and offensive. she can both be used to establish a healing location and bombard charging enemies from afar. Lorenz can utilize healing magic on the front lines while Lysinthia the back, it allows for equal coverage and versatility in two different parts of the battle. Throw a Levin sword on her in the future to provide extra defense to the back line. 

Lingering Questions:

I don’t like her crests...? It’s not like all the others, aside from Edelgard.

Morgan’s Tome Entry for Owain (Please Recognize Most is Written in a Code she made. This is the translation not what a character would read.)

Initial Impressions: Probably the most fun member of the gang! But if I’m being honest, I have no idea what he means about us sharing the “fortune of war” across a thousand thousand lives and being fated partners. And I have no clue how his “sixth sense bespoke to his third eye”. He’s a weirdo for sure, but he’s funny and gives me a good laugh. But he seems to get upset when I laugh alongside his plays. But I did get him to cook for me to prove we were “fated partners” in battle. What other tests should I put him through?

Addendum: Gems.... Definitely gems.

Pros: Owain is a gifted swordsman. He’s devoted to his friends and truly wants to seek a form of Justice to help the world. As such he works himself tirelessly on the battlefield, even if part of working himself means acting from his play. And of course his dedication to his friends and family keep him going. Has the Brand of the Exalt, may be able to utilize Falchion.

Addendum: Delusions of grandeur and his antics allow for many dangerous openings. While he speaks he may yet be vulnerable.

Addendum: A fun personality, while annoying, can allow for higher morale in the troop and when utilized properly won’t make the team vulnerable. 

Cons: Can’t understand most of what he says. Is he in a play? Is he speaking seriously? Should his sword hand be stayed? The world may never know. Should not conduct any stealth missions.

Addendum: Attachments to his allies can be used to distract him or knock him off kilter. Considering the selfless nature of many of his allies, should one be killed in front of him he may get flashbacks to his parents’ death. He’s also possibly able to utilize Falchion, or the ancient Falchion of Valm, due to his close ties with Naga and the fact he has a Brand. Uncertain at this moment. 

Addendum: Ancient Falchion of Valm has been destroyed.

Addendum: Two Falchions?

Tactical Benefits: A great distraction for the enemy. Allowing Owain to be the first to commence a fight could likely throw off a more serious foe. Does not work on Risen who are mindless, though may work on living enemies. Bears the Brand of the Exalt, may be able to utilize Falchion in case of Lucina’s untimely death. 

Death: Owain and Inigo worked together to fight the Risen army chasing Brady and Yarne. After Inigo’s sacrifice, Owain entered a frenzied state. Inigo’s jeers and taunts from the base of the cliff could barely be heard over the roars of anger from Owain. He fought recklessly and wildly, taking out much of the Risen army. In retaliation Grima’s Subordinate took swift action. Grima’s Subordinate shot a bolt of Thoron through Owain’s chest as he charged at them. Owain was left where he fell as Grima’s Subordinate shot a secondary bolt into his body to assure his defeat.

Legacy: The hilt of Missiletainn. Overall, a sword of subpar make. 

Addendum: The hilt of a sword of a legendary hero from home. No matter the quality, it’s a Owain’s.

Lingering Issues:

Why is the Brand of the Exalt crossed out as a benefit but inserted as a con?

What is the Falchion of Valm? Is there a second weapon that can harm Grima? Why is it in Valm? Who used it?

Research: Bleh bleh lazy and tired and always takes a ton of naps. Bleh bleh bleh. A big liability in terms of what is needed on the field and in training. Obviously does not recognize war and consequence. It’s not quite as bad as the consequences Yarne was affording us back in the day running away from battle, but it could develop into that. Unfortunately I can’t train him like I trained Yarne due to Linhart not having really fluffy and lovely ears.... Or.... can I?

Addendum: I followed Linhart after he left a training exercise. I confronted him by saying I’d help him sleep and began petting his head roughly. And then began singing him a lullaby only Grima would love, from the bottom of my heart. He seemed irritated and obviously objected, before leaving. Further testing is needed.

Pros: A well versed researcher who is familiar with the Crests of this world. He apparently has a strong affinity for healing magic. Rumors have it’s partially due to his Crest. 

Cons: Until he’s reliable, he’s useless. If he can’t prove to be dedicated to training assignments we can not trust him on the battlefield. Yarne was useful in an uphill battle, though I’m unsure how much Linhart is dedicated to fighting alongside his classmates. He’s a liability more than anything else. If there’s a VERY SPECIFIC situation in which I can utilize him for research, that’s fine. Until then, I’ll play with his hair. Almost as fun as playing with Yarne’s ears!

Tactical Benefits: He can heal. If the bad guy has a Crest maybe he knows a weakness? He naps so if he’s captured by the enemy he would have slept through the war meetings and know nothing? I think that’s about it.

Lingering Questions:

What does he think about the brands from other regions? Obviously Crests and Brands seem very different, but does he see similarities? Does he know about them? Does he care?

Research: Ike seems immediately blunt and to the point, making me suspect he’s not a noble. Thankfully he’s not overly shy, and I’ve over heard some talk of other lands. Galileo? Tellia? Something like that. Clearly not of Fodlan origin and an immigrant. He seems kind enough? Heavily armored and clearly a fighter, the man carries big boy swords and big boy armor. 

Addendum: So many damn blue haired pretty boys running around. To be fair, Ike isn’t pretty but if Alm put on some make up to look tougher, wore some big flats to add like a foot in height, never looked happy and always grumpy, and gained like a million pounds in muscle they’d look alike. 

Addendum: Does he have an eight pack? Don’t get me wrong, he’s got muscles but... Hilda has an eight pack... 

Pros: Intimidating gaze! Can probably spit in a threatening manner, unlike Alm. Should I need to go on a recon mission Ike would likely be someone I’d bring as a “guard” of sorts. Good cop and overly brooding and intimidating cop. Decent at swords.

Addendum: Test spitting abilities. Actually I’m going to do that right after I write this. 

Cons: Heavy armor, big swords, and big muscles. Likely little dexterity compared to individuals like Gaius. Rapiers, armor slayers, and magic are likely going to harm him, though around most physical fighters he should take a few punches.

Tactical Benefits: Once again, intimating cop. Would also likely make a good second in command in a larger unit or army. Allowing someone more obviously charismatic and not as immediately intimidating to take lead and allowing Ike to take control under a certain regiment in the grand order may prove to be best.

Research: Quiet, secluded, and hard to read. Knoll probably isn’t someone you can learn about just from observation. A few quick and easy things to note: likely a magic user of sorts and has spoken about a Prince Lyon and a place called Grado on the few occasions I’ve overheard conversations. He seems extremely attentive, analytical, and focused. Yet he also seems decently kind to individuals who do approach. Is this a rouse?

Pros: Analytical mage, likely able to help decipher unknown texts and books. Perhaps even research more obscure topics. The level of attentiveness also brings a layer of accuracy and trust in their findings. Lastly, due to their secretive and quiet nature I don’t imagine many will be able to get information from them.

Addendum: I wonder if they’re a good person to help with my research?

Cons: Secretive and quiet. Hard to read and hard to gather information on. As a non-native to Fodlan, it’s even harder as I’m unaware as to who their comrades and friends are. 

Tactical Benefits: Unknown at the moment. According to the marks at Garreg Mach they seem to be a mage. Nothing stands out immensely. Requires more observation. In battle there are other mages to trust more at the moment.

Who is Prince Lyon?

Research: Hilda has an eight pack. She seems to be a dedicated trainer who keeps her body in prime condition for the battle field, though in class and towards the professors she seems to be extremely lazy. “Seems” is an extremely generous word. Her skills with a multitude of weapons but focuses on Axe use and armor. House Goneril seems to have a few famous individuals. One being Hilda’s brother. According to the books the house seems to have a “Crest of Goneril” which is likely while I’m mildly unsettled by Hilda’s presence. Aside from this, she seems to be the second in command of the Golden Deer and is extremely close with both Lorenz and Claude. I don’t believe that team could be broken up.

Addendum: Likes kissing. Usually somewhat over exaggerated. 

Addendum: After learning about Sylvain’s lance and his crest, I learned House Goneril has a relic similar. An ax of sorts? 

Pros: Strong, immensely so. She has an eight pack. AN EIGHT PACK! That’s ab-solutely ridiculous! She clearly trains her physical body well. With this she can make for an amazing front line warrior. She has more social intelligence than immediately assumed due to her mannerisms. Many men tend to be swayed by her words, which can be useful for quick missions requiring intelligence gathering. 

Cons: Lazy. While I am not aware why she refrains from battle so much, she does tend to take the back field in almost anything she can. I’ve heard the professors have a hard time dragging her into practices. Eventually she goes but she does try to get away with a lot. This is where she can sometimes influence others to do her bidding. 

Addendum: She said she was a bad dancer. I’ll take her word on it. Though she may just not have wanted to teach me how to dance.

Tactical Benefits: If she can be motivated enough, she can become an amazing force on the field. I suspect that similar to Lorenz, she has a great love for the Golden Deer and the alliance as a whole. She’d likely do anything to keep them safe. No magical eight pack. Keep her away from enemy mages.

Lingering Questions:

How the hell did she get an eight pack?

It seems Crest bearers seem to affect me less than individuals like Celica. Hilda has kissed me on multiple occasions, yet I only feel mild discomfort. Why is it that Celica, Alm, Lucina, etc seem to have a more prominent effect?

Celica: Sword Mage/Priest? Worth researching range of magic. Addendum: Well versed in magic. Able to recognize necromancy with relative ease and research. Doubtful that’s her forte.

Addendum: She seems to focus and excel in all forms of magic.

Immediate Impression: Well seasoned explorer and fighter. Relatively sure I’ve at least seen a portrait of her… somewhere…? She looks insanely familiar. Shouldn’t she be much older? Like SUUUUUPPPPPPEEEEERRRRR old? Then again time travel….

Addendum: I believe Celica is from the past, at least compared to me. She mentioned the continent of Archanea, which from my research is home. At least, part of it. Plegia, Ylisse, and Regna Ferox share the continent Celica is familiar with. Ylisse’s archives don’t have too much, though I think there might be something there we may be able to connect to her, or even Alm.

Threats: Intelligent and wise. Quick to catch on to details. Options to mitigate: ally closer to Alm, take better care of library books, don’t go to the spa with her(?). Why do I think of her as a possible threat?

Addendum: I think whatever keeps shocking me (her brand?) is the threat, not persay her. Though she seems more cautious around me. Is she feeling the pain as well? If so, it may be wise to work together and find out the source of this.

Pros: Compassionate and kind. She’ll likely be friendly unless she finds a specific reason not to be. Honestly seems to be a genuinely good person I can trust.

Addendum: She seems to be aware of Grima, or at least a variant of it. From what I can gather she has called it the “Creation.” Did she know of it when it was created? Grima is extremely old after all. That being said, she claimed Grima to be an artificial being. Perhaps this can be exploited? The books I found in the library place may have more use than originally intended.

Notable Relations: She’s close to Alm. Married? Surely inseparable. Seen Alm follow her like a lost puppy before.

Addendum: Not much has drastically changed there. Though rumor has it they were on the rocks for a bit. 

Useful Notes: Excellent frontline support. Can hold her own in swordplay if necessary, though has most value in filling in for lack of magic in the front line. Assure she’s well guarded as she seems to have a lower constitution and may take damage from physical attacks at a greater rate.

Addendum: Extremely friendly. Likely to be able to have friends in most any situation. This can lead to increased camaraderie among the troops. 

Lingering Questions:

Why is both she and Alm missing their blades? What blade does she have? Addendum: I think her blade is broken? I’m not sure why. Just a gut instinct. Well... maybe not hers but hers?

I don’t like her right hand… why? Addendum: I don’t like her whole body. Shen ever she touches me I feel sparks of electricity fly through me. It’s not good.

Can she spit better than Alm? (Probably, but must test.)

How’s she going to react to a book with an arrow in it…. once it’s returned to the library….? Addendum: Snuck it in nooooooo problemo.

She’s seen Risen like creatures. Why? How? Addendum: I think this can be answered with Grima and her knowing Grima. Grima is a fell dragon of old, perhaps she faced it when it was “created” so she knew of it as the “Creation”? 

She can dance well. Not a question but just a fact that didn’t fit anywhere else.

Why did I know how old she is? Or rather, why did I think she was ancient and then find some supporting evidence?

Her kisses, hand holding, etc, still hurts. Why? My theory is it has to do with her “brand”. Alm mentioned Celica had a brand of sorts. While I’m not sure about the brands back in Valm, or whatever they called it in her time,

Shared History: Sumia’s marriage to Mr. King. Dude Chrom wasn’t a surprise to anyone Father told me. Due to their close friendships I ended up spending much of my time, well spent, much of my time with their children, Lucina and Cynthia. Sumia always seemed interested in me in the same way an... aunt I suppose would. She helped me learn to read, taught me some baking techniques that I simply could not replicate (note page 139 has a great recipe if I find anyone who knows how to bake), and would read all of our fortunes with flowers whenever we asked. Though as the war got worse, she was sent on more and more missions.

Addendum: The Garreg Mach version of her seems to be extremely similar. Though I can safely assume the romantic details may be quite different compared to my home. They seem more familiar with a “female” Father as well.

Pros: Kind, diligent, and over all motherly. In many ways, Sumia is a lot like a family member to me. Similar to Mr Dude King. I heard her combat prowess was near second to none. Her skill on a Pegasus was a sight to behold. Her coordination, her speed, and her ferocity to protect those she loved.

Addendum: She feels quite similar here still. 

Cons: Her single minded protectiveness became an issue for her later on. Riskier missions brought her home harmed more and more frequently. This stressed out her children quite a bit. Albeit Father does not seem to doubt her abilities and keeps assigning her to these missions. I believe Father is making some grave mistakes with her assignments.

Addendum: I don’t like this feeling. The persistent, caring, and some what curious nature of Garreg Mach’s Sumia feels vaguely familiar. Much more so than any other parent I’ve met besides Father and Chrom. I’d rather she be different than what I’ve explained here. In many ways, amnesia is a blessing where I do not have to remember what I’ve lost. In some ways, I feel great.... regret? Fear? I’m not sure... And I would rather not have those memories fully explored.

Tactical Benefits: Her clearest benefit is on the field. Fast, strong, charismatic, and brave. She’s a knight in shining armor to many other individuals on the field. I believe Father may be utilizing these benefits too much without properly giving her support, but he assures me it’s fine.

Death: Reports indicate Sumia’s death to be later on in the war against the Risen. Father mentioned an “unfortunate accident” where she was shot out of the sky, fleeing towards enemy grounds. When questioning him further, he refused to give me more information. Then told me to give Lucina and Cynthia their space and to leave them alone.

Addendum: I may be able to understand Gaius and Kellam being aligned somewhat to the enemy, but Sumia doesn’t quite make sense? Father seems to have glossed over this significantly more from what my previous writing implies.

Legacy: Her children, Lucina and Cynthia.

Lingering Questions:

Something still doesn’t seem right about Father’s reactions. It makes more sense than the other reactions to the other parents but it seems detached. Should I have tried being there for Lucina and Cynthia?

Notes on Lucina’s and Cynthia’s page clearly have more recent interactions, though strangely enough there doesn’t seem to be many connections between Sumia’s final moments and Father and I going to visit the two.
