Gareneta is the scion of House Rymmon, a once-noble house from the Reach. Now their great wealth is only a long-gone memory. After her parents past away, she lived in her crumbling castle, dreaming of fairy tales and romance. With no marriage proposals befit a house with such legacy as House Rymmon in sight, and no hope for the continuation of that legacy, she had no choice but to agree to the sensible marriage proposal of Dareon Misagon, from the recently (in Westeros' standards) ennobled house Misagon, originally from Tyrosh. She moved from her own castle to Castle Mavoch, and met his unmarried sister, Morea Misagon. While their Tyroshi customs scared her Westerosi (racist) sensibility, and their mysterious religion both intrigued and frightened her after growing up in the Reach, the heart of the Faith of the Seven, she just could not curb her fascination with the Misagon woman.
