Just spent the last 3 hours catching up with my ex. It was fun and I miss the person who used to be my best friend. But then she sent me home with a box (and asked me not to open it until later.) It was a bunch of stuff I had given her, notes, pictures, ticket stubs, etc. She told me "Do whatever you want with this." Like, wth. I kept what I wanted from our relationship that she had given me, and got rid of the rest in various ways. What am I supposed to do with a bunch of stuff intended for her? This is the second time an ex has done this to me, I don't understand and get kind of irrationally upset about it. Throw it away. Keep it. Burn it with voodoo magic. Do whatever?? But why give it back to me?? Now I'm going to feel guilty when I throw it away even though I don't have room for it or want it. Ugh. What the hell. I know it's good intentioned, but don't give your ex back stuff that only has sentimental value. Especially if they probably have versions of it and had to choose if they kept it or not too.
