Olicity Screen time - Season 4
As promised, following on from my previous post about season 3, I have compiled the data for season 4.Â
Hypothesis: The total Olicity screen time in season 4 would be increased compared to season 3, but still overall a small % of the total run time.
Methodology: I watched all the season 4 clips uploaded to YouTube by Olicity Queen and timed all the Olicity scenes. And by Olicity scenes, I included direct discussions about their relationship, declarations of love, proposals, instances of flirting or excessive eye contact, pining, indirect discussions about their relationship (i.e. one character talking to a non-ship character), PDA, heart-to-heart talks, etc. The only scenes excluded were those in which Felicity and Oliver were in mission mode (i.e. exclusively talking about the latest mission (i.e. shop talk, similar to what Oliver/Diggle engage in) with no PDA, heart eyes, etc).
Results:
11% total screen time in season 4, with an average of 11% screen time per episode.Â
