Yes, I really love how Yana draws Sebastian when he takes on some of his demonic features. She does such a good job making him look unsettling and otherworldly without losing his typical charm.

I'm glad you like the idea of that fic! I love this type of dynamic and there was a time when I would have probably been too nervous to post something like that, but I know now that there are a lot of other people who also enjoy that sort of thing, and people have been very nice about the other problematic fics I've posted.

The idea of Sebastian wanting to see if Ciel is worthy to be his eternal mate or trying to make him his eternal mate is soooooo good, I love it! Exactly my taste. ❤️

This one is probably my all-time favorite. The inappropriateness of their relationship, the mixture of beautiful moments and tragic ones, the ending...it was so emotionally powerful to me. I left a super effusive positive comment (spoilers for the fic in that link) on this after I read it because it left such a strong impression on me. If you want to know more about why I like this one so much, I go into extensive detail there.

This is a very good fic where Sebastian takes Ciel in demonic form. The interactions between the two are so believable and natural, and the overall fic is super hot.

The Flowers of Evil series by Amanitus

This fic is excellent, I don't really have the words to describe it. The characterization is phenomenal and the progression of their relationship is so well-written. I love everything about it.

Stain the Water Clear by objectlesson

This fic explores those fascinating early years between Sebastian and Ciel, right after they formed their contract. The imagery and the quality of the prose is incredible. An amazing depiction of their relationship.

A beautiful shorter fic where Sebastian and Ciel taste each others' blood and have sex in a thoroughly unsuitable location. Perfectly them.

Choke by sinnergy

An erotic asphyxiation fic. This is a kink that I feel suits this pairing so well, and I'm so glad that this exists! It's incredibly hot.

This one has a huge number of elements that I absolutely love for Sebaciel. The possessiveness, the nature of their relationship, the banter, the way they can't resist touching each other despite being in a risky location for doing so...(and this isn't a coincidence as this one was written for me as a commission, so I had a bit of input into what type of content would be in it). It's exactly what I was looking for and I love it.

Yes, I think it would have been really nice to see Ciel taking care of Sebastian a little more than we did. He was clearly very concerned about Sebastian's wellbeing when the demon was injured in front of him and also later when they were in the lifeboat together.

Sebastian imagined each breath must feel particularly painful now, like small knife wounds inside of his chest.

This is from a fic I've been working on for a long time, a short oneshot where Sebastian takes care of Ciel while he's sick. I started this even before One Way Home, but I've never managed to get it to be quite...right, which is why it hasn't been posted yet.

He hardly knew what he was doing, really, but he had dreamed of it before, had imagined it many times, and now that it was happening even the atrocious conditions they found themselves in could not snuff out the spark of joy he felt at having a proper kiss with the only person he had ever wanted one from.

This is from a Cielcest fic I'm writing set during the twins' time with the cult. This fic is written from r!Ciel's perspective, and I like to write him as being totally obsessed with his brother.

I'm not sure if the final product will include this line or not, as I may do some major re-writes, but it's in there now.

7. What are you most proud of?

I guess just...my fics in general, and probably One Way Home most of all, since I've worked on it the most. I used to write fics a long time ago for other fandoms, but for years I thought I would never manage to do so again due to various problems I was having in real life. But I wrote a lot more in 2021 for Kuro than I ever did for any previous fandoms, and I was really happy that I was able to create things I enjoy that some other people have also enjoyed reading.

17. Does your WIP have any themes or motifs?

Hmm...to some extent my writing tends to incorporate certain...elements, I suppose? But I'm not sure if they would really count as themes or motifs. I don't write with a specific "message" in mind that I'm trying to convey to the reader; I just write scenes, ideas, concepts, and storylines that my brain finds fascinating, and I hope some readers will also find them enjoyable to read about too.

Okay, although I did already do this one here, I think I'll take this opportunity to do it again just for fun. In that post I did my student/teacher Sebaciel AU, so this time I'll do...the fic where Sebastian takes care of Ciel when he's sick.

I love that trope as well, it's so much fun when the non-human character develops romantic feelings for the human one and doesn't understand what is happening or what exactly this new desire is. They only know that nothing matters more to them than their human.

Yeah, things used to be really different. I wasn't on tumblr back then, but I remember using other websites for fandom stuff around the time the Kuro anime came out in 2008 (ff.net, livejournal, etc) and it was very rare to see anything that would be recognizably "anti"-ish. There were people who didn't like sebaciel or who didn't like ships involving underage characters with adult characters, but it was almost always phrased as a personal preference and not an accusation that people who enjoy those ships are terrible people/criminals in real life. People also just didn't really discuss fictional character ages as much in general and there was a kind of unspoken acceptance/understanding of the fact that fictional character ages have no actual importance when it comes to real life people making decisions on what they want to ship.

It was so weird seeing things slowly change from like...idk, maybe 2012-2016? During those years I was either uninvolved in fandoms in general or was in other ones, but I think 2012 is when I started seeing anti-ish opinions being brought up more online. At that time people mostly just ignored those who felt that way, but as the years went on a larger and larger proportion of people in basically every fandom (though some quicker than others) started getting this idea that it was their right to police what other people can ship.

The type of ship wars that used to happen in The Old Days were exhausting and dumb, but they were so much less tiresome than anti nonsense and it's really disappointing that instead of people just arguing about why their preferred ship is the "best" ship, they jump right to making serious personal accusations about people they don't know based solely off of something like "person X ships ______ and that means they're a predator!"
