While attended the Cartoonist & Illustrators School on the G.I. Bill, Joe Sinnott would have his first published work appear in "Mopsy" #12 (Sept. 1950). It would be the start of a brilliant career.
Flapper Fanny was a newspaper strip created in 1925 by Ethel Hays. Gladys Parker took over the strip in March 1930. Her stories focused on Fanny’s little sister Betty, and her friend Chuck. Parker left the series in August of the same year. Parker created a lookalike strip in 1940 called Mopsy.
