One year ago today,, I got to see my favorite frontman Brandon Flowers for his Desired Effect tour. It was one of the worst torrential downpours Detroit had seen in long time, I was also in a walking cam boot due to a horrendous ankle injury. But I waited it out with some pretty awesome people and we sang killers songs and braved the elements. Finally they called it and everyone started to disperse. Me, being injured was not walking very fast plus being covered in dirt and mud because my boot sank all the way down and a good thing too because I got maybe 500 feet from the stage when we heard someone yell IT'S BACK ON! I don't know how, it must have been the adrenaline because I have never ran so fast in my life and in a boot mind you and soaked to the bone. I ended up basically 2nd row dead center. He only got to play 5 songs, which was fine by me. I also ended up next to two of the nicest girls whom I am now friends with. And still one of my favorite memories. And for those 5 songs I forgot about my pain I was in and it felt like heaven.
