So here is some thoughts on them!

-tessa and uzi will spend hours yapping to each other about their interests, and both need to be reminded to eat and/or sleep

-tessa’s graverobbing hobby makes uzi loosen up on eating from long dead drones and donated parts (NEVER fresh, she don’t want to see anyone hurt, and solver senses mean she CAN TELL, she still highly prefers from the can) as well as being around uzi loosens tessa up to eldritch creatures (and of course) though…uzi’s form being cow-like instead of centipede-like helps

-uzi helps tessa understand drone customs and cultures that are within bunker-3, despite her isolated nature, she probably knows alot due to khan being leader and the occasional off handed comment that isn’t about doors or wifey or his new attempts of understanding

-tessa gets fiercely territorial with uzi, does not matter the drone body she ends up getting, she already list her found family once and she got that back, she is not losing the love of her life that matches her nerd freak. This leads to problems especially after uzi mentions her growing up situation, because then tessa is carefully eyeing the parentals due to her own experiences and what has been said, she’ll lighten up but she has her reasons.

-uzi’s weapon nuttiness rubs off on tessa and she starts making some batshit insane shit for self-defense, her first weapon which is a nanite capsule bullet(that has a stinger on the end of said bullet) firing revolver that tessa affectionately calls her “Taipan Sixer”, if the name didn’t give it away, that acid has become violently potent, and only a appliance of dd regenerative nanite can combat the damage

-they converse in each other’s isolation of their environments and cuddle alot

Like V and N’s perspective, same for khan, lizzy, nori, and thad.

Im curious on the reactions of them in your mind as this relationship develops

At first N and V are REALLY terrified that Tessa is just another trick from Cyn. Kinda hard for them to not be tbh. They think for a really long while that this is probably one of the worst things Cyn has ever done because it's very obvious to them that Uzi really likes Tessa.

But as Tessa confirms over time that she isn't just a cruel joke from Cyn, and that it's really her, they're just so fucking happy. They honestly don't mind Tesszi are dating, and to them it's probably about the healthiest romantic relationship they've ever seen. Them and Thad are more likely to witness them struggling with how a relationship is supposed to be, and they're often the ones both of them go to for help and advice and insane plans because they think the other deserves the best things ever.

And with Moozi, they're often a witness to Uzi fluffing up over everything regarding Tessa, because for a while she's just transforming when she gets worked up over making everything perfect for Tessa, and they listen to Tessa rant about how cute Moozi is while being terrified of both the Eldrich stuff and how Uzi would react to being called cute.

It's honestly just cute to them. Not that V would admit it out loud. It helps a lot they're all mutual friends too.

To Thad, he just sees them being happy and doesn't really mind it. Is grateful for it for both of them tbh. He doesn't know Tessa as well, but he knows Uzi was miserable as hell before everything, and knows she's struggled a bit with the idea of romance in general. And from what Thad can gather, Tessa was in a similarish situation. He's the one most excited for them both from the start, and helped Uzi actually name the fact she liked Tessa. He's their OG wingman lol.

It doesn't really matter to him how ""weird"" they are. Those are his friends :3 they can do whatever as long as they're not being jerks for some reason. Honestly the Moozi stuff probably phases him the least, if he sees Uzi like that he doesn't treat her any differently, which helps them both out a lot actually. Thad's chillness about it all honestly helps calm their incredibly stressed out nerves. He's like a dog being raised with cheetah cubs to show them everything's fine and they don't gotta worry about things that don't matter.

Just imagine him doing the "Let's go lesbians, let's go!!" memes because yeah that's him.

For Khan and Nori, it's... A change alright. With how much worry they had with dealing with N and V being close to Uzi, they aren't sure how to handle everything going on. Especially when Tessa doesn't really like them, always looking ready to bolt the second she sees them, and looking fiercely protective of Uzi whenever they get into playful verbal spars.

They want to get to know her better because Uzi is always happy to talk about her, just mentioning her is enough to get Uzi to smile freely, and they don't want to be the issue in their relationship.

It takes a while for them to actually figure out what the issue is, and to apologize to Tessa for scaring her. They genuinely feel awful that she thought they'd want to hurt Uzi. And while Tessa does finally tear into them both for what they did to Uzi, they don't excuse anything, they don't even defend themselves. They just sigh and say they know they've messed up and want to do better, and that also means doing better by Tessa too.

Their relationship is rocky as hell. It's not picture perfect, probably never will be. But both sides are trying.

Hm…ya know, i’ve been keeping this ship that I enjoy close to the chest but eh what the hell, the message of uzi herself was “I think dumb things are fricken cool and I am FREEEEEE!”

So tessa x uzi

A ship I thought about but until recently, I didn’t mention it much, because J is typically the main focal point of this tessa lass despite her personality not directly tied to her but we do see how J reacts.

How would I go about it?

Simple route actually, the drone body route, planting the soul turned forcibly into code stuck in a purgatory being pulled out, I imagine, unlike the first vessel of the solver/host cyn, a trophy like tessa is placed in a very hidden spot, cyn might have some ideas of where in the code but it’s a trophy of some sort, so at first we start with tessa simply getting a body and will have her having to adjust for a while uzi helping her out, for two reasons!

One is obvious, she went from human to drone, even in the purgatory created by solver she was still simulated in her human shape, it makes sense as basically uzi’s patient that uzi would want to continue monitoring her and helping her out, checking her progress, starting small with a few steps here, a few there, hoping to see her eventually adjust fully to the weight distribution of a drone body, because no matter how humanoid your design of a drone is, you are having to now a metal skeleton and the weird plastic-looking make up that is their hands and mouth part and head part of their bodies, and it’s gonna feel like things are off or REALLY off depending on how you design and alter the drones from canon, and that’s without how drone bodies might changed depending on your headcanons! So she needs help with it.

The second reason is that uzi wants tessa to know she is in control of this, that she is the admin now, not solver, that all this power is in her hands, and her hands alone, not the thing that hurt tessa, so that way when uzi needs to stretch around tessa, she isn’t unnerved or going through a panic attack from the horrid memories of the gala oh so long ago at this point time wise but to her is still all fairly recent, time passed weirdly in the purgatory I imagine so it’s all there still despite the passage of time, so this is basically exposure therapy.

Though…the difference is noticeable in the eldritch form.

Bat features, mixed with wolf, but the most prominent features are cow features, cow patterned fur for the cold of copper-9 to absorb the cold so she can last longer that, chest orbs for oil instead of milk unlike a cow but more fitting for her solver admin status, and horns as well, tessa quick to nickname her moozi (yes, she is the one to coin the term here…it ends up sticking)

So…they build a connection through this, and eventually end as friends to start and spend a year at that level.

A simple basis, over the course of, well, let’s go with about five years from that point, they become best friends, from weapon making, grave uncovering, collecting skeletons, uzi and tessa learning how to repair drones (in tessa’s case how to do it even better than she already was with a better understanding of the mechanics and systems of drones in general), atop everything else, this level up in friendship leads to more things being told between one another, and then… the topic of N comes up, then V, what happened that led to the current circumstances that caused this, and then….the topic comes up for J

I want you to really think about this.

REALLY think about it.

With all these things before you, and solver, absolutely recording this fight for tessa to see, mocking and showing J’s obedience, and she sees J on the wrong side once again.

How do you think it mentally would affect her?

The vision she may have had of being with J may have died the same night that tessa originally died as a human.

Tessa mentions how in the manor, the others could see how close they were, cyn could see it, n could see it, and v could see it too, but…

It’s been too many times, too many cycles of this, how many times has tessa seen the song and dance, how long has the novelty of J’s coping mechanism started to just…eat at tessa because it was avoiding the problem and staying under the thumb.

And that probably eats at her.

Because tessa loves all her drones in some way.

But just like N, she can see how J has become…and that’s a new hell.

You know what someone used to be, you have the memories to prove it.

But they are just that now, memories.

Tessa probably mourns what could of been, because as much as I myself do enjoy jessa.

That was the past, and this is the now.

And there is no undoing what J has continued to choose. And sometimes the best option, is to move on.

After that…uzi vents about her own problems, the way her father was and sometimes still slips up and is, while also venting about her mother who went for the mil- I mean patch.

Because she dealt with her own problems of khan and nori, nori dipping for her perceived weakness and thinking her family better off without her (you foolish meatball, they would have still loved you like that) and the way khan…talked about his daughter and set up posters for it even, and somehow got them approved by the wdf, she vents how her father acted, how much time was spent on doors, a trauma response to nori that costed the bridge with uzi being built nicely.

Which neatly leads into tessa venting about her own parents, which…yeah.

Chains. Reprimands. Holding her own found family that felt more like family than her biological parents above her head as a means of control. What little we see doesn’t give the best of images. Which with rich families….seems par for the course sadly for her.

But, this bonding moment leads to a deeper connection and understanding of one another

But some more time passes, and hey, it’s that event season again, another dancing one but non-prom, and…

Uzi is in a custom made dress (it ends up looking like one of her moms old ones but very much more “her” in style, cow patterned and such). And she looks stunning.

Tessa is reeling a bit at the look and going through gay panic’s of many pride month past despite her own skeletal themed dress.

And well…the currently still besties, share a dance.

And the lights shine, they align…and oh the music is perfectly complimenting the mood.

They don’t kiss, not yet, but both are blushing after the dance, n and v are taking pictures for evidence lol.

But it’s a cute moment, and that’s what both focus on the happiness of it, in each their own ways.

But time after that, more time spent together, working on projects together, uzi watching as tessa becomes a resident mechanic, uzi getting to see how she glows and actively flourishes as a drone then a human, it becomes obvious to others that a crush is developing for uzi, in the way she shyly does things, the amount of “bite me!” With a blush gets a laugh from tessa.

But tessa also develops a crush, calling uzi many nicknames, her little crow, her purple stud (which makes her sound like a lego piece), her lil savior among many others and showing affection in her own grimdark way. Skulls as little gifts with little engravings into them, she’s basically using the penguin method but instead of pebbles it’s with bones and skulls that she makes art with. Spending quality time with uzi and making inventions with her.

And uzi makes her something after a lot of time learning her powers and such of specifically editing and such, she makes tessa a knife that works similar to a nanite stinger for a dd, it’s designed well and makes tessa say “now that’s a knife!”

But eventually they do have to do the event you all are waiting for, getting together.

So they go and run out into the snow and well….

Uzi made promise rings, cute lil things, it goes from a cool adventure to a date.

J does appear at some point…and well…

It doesn’t exactly go well

Tessa and J just stare at each other.

Tessa believes J’s going to attack, she’s half right, j does look like she wants to pounce out of hunger but recognizes tessa so she’s just…ferally standing there, stunlocked, but at this point all that comes out is a whisper “need…mandated feeding amount…”

It’s not a pretty scene and even when J is finally back in a better state after a lot of hustle and tustle.

Not going well for her.

Because it’s been too long, she chose her isolation.
