B&O’s Moorefield Yard
This image was made from an elderly tower that protects the grade crossing here on North Belmont Avenue, in an area west of downtown Indianapolis. The train is pointed eastward, toward Union Station; in the background, we can see the water tower for Speedway, Indiana, home of the famous track.

Covered Wagon
Visiting B&O's Moorefield Yard, on the west side of Indianapolis, we ran across this Western Maryland F7A, built in 1950. While I was taken with the covered wagon at this time, why did I not make more photographs of the road-crossing tower and interview the man working it for Pete’s sake?
