Okay but for tips, well, I advise to have a dictionary/thesaurus nearby! When you begin to describe things, just pause for a brief moment and try to think of substitute words.

Say for example:

It's hard to see in the night. Other than its dark setting, sometimes, very few stars shine at all.

This is your sentence! Nothing bad, but it can be better. You don't need to use very intricate adjectives each time, mix it up a notch. What is something that can be a better substitute for 'dark' and 'shine'?

I had this idea where your AUs are fiction stories to other AUs. How would the MCs react upon reading them?

For instance, I can imagine Tyranny!MC reading Vigil and empathizing with Kazuha (we're gonna pretend that Vigil! Kazuha and Tyranny! Kazuha are two different people ehe) because she, too, knows the pain of losing (a) sibling(s).

Or Absconder!MC reading the stories of Astrolabe!MC and pondering over whether or not she'll eventually be forgotten as well. With her ruined kingdom, the few people who knows she's still alive, the immortality curse and all. It's not farfetched, isn't it? *sobs*

The last one I can think of is more light-hearted. 4NEMO/Fleur! MC reading stories of Geisha! MC and gushing while self-inserting herself as the MC of that AU. Like come on, who wouldn't be gushing over handsome men visiting you 7 days a week? XDD *insert concerned looks from the four wind boys*
