anyways!! another au to add to the roster!! still working on a title for this one, but now, i'm shortening it to the Moonfall AU!!
this here is a little au wherein Knuckles has the ability to see a certain Shady figure (Shadow) within the moon. they don't talk much, but when they do, their conversations are always worthwhile.
there's a story to this whole au too which i'm really excited to share!! but i'll save that for another day. (it'll be soon though, TRUST)

There is a stowaway on their ship.
It does not take long to find her.
“Princess Yue,” Uncle Iroh says, bowing as she steps onto the deck. “My apologies for the mess. We weren’t expecting guests.”
Her smile is calm, like the waters around the boat. They are even tamer than they had already been. “No, General Iroh, it is I who should be apologizing. I did come unannounced.”
“But not unwelcome,” Uncle Iroh says, and her smile widens.
“Why are you here?” Zuko asks. He ignores the way his uncle’s nose scrunches at his bluntness.
“I asked my father to let me travel with you,” Yue explains. “He refused. I saw no reason to bother asking permission a second time.”
“You said your duty was to your people,” Zuko says. He remembers the words, and the sorrow that came with them.
Yue nods. “I am doing nothing for them there,” she says. “There are few with the chance to make real change in the world. I would prefer to be one of them.”
Zuko glances back at Uncle Iroh. A nod. He turns to the princess and can’t resist cracking a smile. “Welcome aboard.”

Okay, that's all you get. The outline for this story is completely finished now, as are the first four chapters, but I plan for this to be one where I write it until it is completely done and then have a consistent weekly (or bi-weekly depending on chapter length and number of them) upload schedule.
Most of it I'm gonna hold out on just because I don't wanna reveal too much. Also, fair warning, this fic is gonna be a kinda different writing style from my normal one, cause I felt it was suited more to this.
