You know, I have never actually had a macaron before? I see them at the grocery store sometimes, but I never know if those are good or if they're grocery store trash pretending to be something tasty.

I agree, but that wasn't quite how it came across - and we need to be careful about these kinds of associations. Because a lot of aces, when they come out, get the "oh, your hormones need to be checked" form of dismissal and erasure, and that needs to stop. 

Also, Kelly's situation was very specific due to her other medical condition(s). Many aces get plenty of touch, and everybody's threshold is going to be different, and neuroendocrinology is not an easy field for the lay person to become an expert in anyway. I would say if you aren't experiencing any kind of symptoms of low oxytocin levels, don't worry about it. If you think this may be an issue for you, by all means, talk to your doctor. 

But this is not a blanket statement about asexuals. Not at all. Being asexual is not a reason to get your hormones checked.

I actually still don't know how to feel about that movie. Mostly, I think, because I saw a version that had zero subtitles, so I have zero idea what half the exposition at the end was about. Maybe I'll know how to feel if I see a properly subbed one

Ohhh yeah, that's pretty important. Although, it's important to the plot but less so to the sort of overall message/symbolism.
