There’s a cat stuck in that tree.
Jason takes a second to appreciate the absurdity of this moment, the fact that “cat stuck in a tree” is such a tropey thing to happen that he almost doesn’t believe it’s real. He takes an extra second to berate himself for using up all his flight for the day, since it’d be easy to just zip skyward and rescue the little guy. He frowns. Rubs his chin. Seeks alternatives, and comes up empty handed. Eventually, he figures it’d be worth trying to climb the tree himself, but he can’t proceed without a spotter.
As luck would have it, someone happens to be passing by.
❝Excuse me,❞ Jason calls out to the stranger, a woman he’s never seen. ❝I’m about to climb this tree and rescue a cat; would you mind watching me? In case I fall and break something, I’d kinda like to know someone will call the paramedics.❞
