Finally remembering to do a #MonumentMonday post on a Monday! In #Causeni this weekend, I stopped to appreciate their local monuments in a central plaza. The large obelisk and the statue memorialize local soldiers lost in World War II. Between them are smaller monuments to locals lost in Afghanistan and as first responders to the Chernobyl tragedy.
