When I first met Tom Meents, Driver of Max-D two years ago; I told him “no offense, but I already have a favorite truck.” He said that’s alright but wanted to know who. When I was 12, Monster Jam was televised every week and one truck was absolutely wild. It would go ALL OUT! The driver seemed to be an absolute nut case and never seemed to let up on the gas. I remembered he wrecked bad one time as I was sitting with my Nanny watching...he climbed out of the window, got on top of his truck, 12 feet in the air and started jumping up and down, pounding his fist in the air and all but the safety people were loving it. The guy was crazy! My Nanny and I loved him! I looked at Tom and said, “The Goldberg Truck was my favorite when I was a kid.” He put his head down, looked back up with a grin and said, “Well, I’m happy I’m your favorite then.” Turns out, Tom IS the Goldberg truck and the truck eventually became Max-D in 2003. After a good laugh, I realized how lucky I am to get the chance to get to work around people and events that helped get me through a wild childhood. #MonsterJamWorldFinals (at iHeartMedia Orlando) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxLdFcpg_EJ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7ixylw50vnk0
