The closeness it has with Green was played off as a friend thing and up until learning to accept whatever the fuck they were, Red was kinda insecure and it resulted in them being feeling a little empty and having a pretty short fuse because of the unprocessed feelings and emotions.(Kinda added onto the general social mindset of toxic masculinity that I feel like its past actions were definitely a product off)
He still is kinda figuring out orientation but in general is fine with either unlabeled or Bisexual! Bro is also recipromantic BECAUSE I SAID SO!! But it also plays into how Red’s only definitively recognizable feelings of attraction were of those who were close to him or relayed some sorta romantic feelings to him.(Being close enough that—In private he’d joke with Green about being ‘roommates’ and Mongie’s really out there expressions of love/adoration :3
