It looks like I'm trying to do at least one weird-form poem per day, so that's a thing. Today it's the Monchielle!
--------
Melancholic Lighting
I hear the people think
Of me as nothing but
A whispy melancholic
Wretch with access to some
Pens- an alcoholic
I hear the people think
“Hey, is he the one who
Lets his hours rot,
And wastes the costly time
He’s got?” Put on the spot.
I hear the people think
About things I’d never
think about. Running out
Of timely thoughts of Ends-
Of air-time fading-out.
I hear the people think
That though the gears may turn
eternal, my limbs seize.
It’s me, the spotlight’s on-
And them I have to please.

The following all comes from Shadow Poetry, which has been my #1 resource for all of these poetic forms:
"The Monchielle is a poem that consists of four five-line stanzas where the first line repeats in each verse. Each line within the stazas consist of six syllables, and lines three and five rhyme. The rhyme pattern is Abcdc Aefgf Ahiji Aklml.
The Monchielle form was created by Jim T. Henriksen."
I decided to do a whole lot of through-line stuff as opposed to heavy pauses or individual lines = individual thoughts. It was fun!
