We went on a casting call last weekend for a cookie company commercial. It was their first time auditioning ever. We all got the part! I guess a family that films together stays together. It was a ton of fun acting and filming the commercial with them today. The kids had a blast. In which I tell you how I am addicted to pavlov, occham and secret stuff to keep on top of it all. . Let's begin with occham. . Occham's Razor is LAW. "All things being equal, the simplest solution tends to be the best one." . Me? . I'm *creative* so I resisted this for YEARS. For DECADES. . Because there is always a small tweak to make it BETTER, eh? . I am the queen of making things complicated. . That is, until I had 6 kids. . You learn fast with 6 kids. . Or you learn painful. :) . Either way, you learn to keep it simple. . True story: Up to 3 years ago? I did not have a calendar or diary. . Now? . That's changed. . It wasn't easy. I tried a lot of different kinds. I found a boat load that do NOT work for me. . Which brings me to Pavlov. . See, I needed something which fit my life, my goals, my needs. . It had to be a SYSTEM. Like when Pavlov's bells rang, the dogs salivate. . Something that works as it should, when it should, how it should. . Something that keeps me on track. . And that's how I got to the SECRET STUFF. . Through trial and error. And error. And more error. . I came up with a system that works for me. . It contains diary elements, accountability elements, calendar elements. . Checks and balances exactly like I need them. . But it also has encouragement elements, vision elements, success elements. . The good Lord knows I need those, too! . And now? . Without having to be a slave to my calendar or my whims, I can work my schedule like a queen and get a boat load of stuff done. . Call it my guilty secret. Because people really stand in awe of everything I do. . But it's not a case of me being wonder woman. . It's a case of finally being co-ordinated, organized and on vision. .
