Week 3 - Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Thu - What is the song that makes you happy no matter what?
it’s such a clean, hopeful song, and it really evokes the feeling of flying across a blue sky. it’s the one morning alarm song I can listen to for months and not get negative associations with because it’s my morning alarm.
Fri - What is your favourite TV programme at the moment (on Netflix etc)?
I don’t really watch TV, but I might start The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited, just because everyone I follow on my other blog is watching it.
Sat - Where is your favourite place in the world (eg a city you’ve been to, a restaurant, or a particular hiking spot)?
I don’t really have a singular favorite place. I’m fortunate enough to have traveled a fair bit, and while there’s lots of gorgeous scenery that pops up in memory, my absolute favorite places are those associated with people I love. It sounds cheesy, but when I visited my high school after graduation with my friends, we had to stop by the corner of the locker niche where we met and ended up eating lunch together every day, and that’s one of my favorite spots in the world because I spent so much time with some of my favorite people there.
Another place that comes to mind is the koi pond in my grandparents’ condo community, since I used to sit there and watch the fish (and escape my homework). There were also these really fragrant jasmine or gardenia trees around, and I liked to sit on the covered balcony, smell the flowers, and listen to the cicadas on rainy days.
Mon - What is your biggest tip for staying focused?
I’m so easily distracted; I need tips for staying focused... but I don’t have them. Oops. Oddly enough, though, my most focused days are the days I’m dressed nicely - sometimes, I’ll throw on my pink trench coat and a skater skirt, and the outfit puts me in the mood to be cool and productive. Dress for success!
Tue - What is your biggest tip for not getting cabin fever?
Open the windows. The first thing I do in the morning (unless it’s raining) is open the window in my room. The sounds from outside and the scent of fresh air remind me that there’s a world outside my house. I also go for runs in the morning, while avoiding other people and wearing a mask. I’m lucky enough to live in a fairly open area where I don’t run into people around even normally.
