I would kill to know what kind of dialogue Pinstress had before Coral Gorge was cut.

The fleas leitmotif used to be the theme for Coral Gorge, and by extension Pinstress. The music that plays during the flea minigames is internally named Pinstress battle, it's so playful that I don't think the fight was a death duel at that point, could've even been act 2.
I find her collection of coral interesting, whether gardening's just a pastime for her or given the current context, something she wants to revive? It's kind of crazy an alternate version of her got to live in it's prime.
Also she collects pearls! wonder what she uses them for? Crafting?
Another thing I've been thinking about is the theory that the pinstress order were Stilkin, because pinstress existing before the cut means she existed before Bilewater was even a concept (Used to be The Gloom).
I don't think this breaks the theory though! I think the Putrified Ducts pinstress was a very intentional addition and they knew what they were implying by having her look like a Stilkin trapper. Either the pinstress order was multicultural or they're retroactively Stilkin. Maybe the Stilkin were designs were modeled after Pinstress and Seamstress?
Been thinking about names for the snails, Caretaker's shell kind of reminds me of a koru frond (Silver Fern plant) because of how clustered the spirals are. Koru is also the Maori word for loops and coils, the spiral motif is pretty common in patterns and carvings.
I think I'm gonna start calling him Koru if he ever shows up in my fic. Just gotta figure something out for the other two now.

Caretaker 100% He was my favourite before I even knew he was a snail, so that's just a bonus.
I'm a big fan of characters whose actions speak louder than their words (also grumpy characters are just fun). He's so insistent that his involvement in Songclave is nothing, he tries so hard to contradict his very name but he DOES care. Always calls the pilgrims a bother but is always fretting over them. I think it's very sad that the very thing he feared happening happened, he got proven right about how "too much hope can be a dangerous thing", even if it's his fault for omitting details from Hornet.
He even sounds disappointed in himself for even considering the plan when you reject his offer. "Guess I shouldn't be surprised. It's a fool act to try such a thing… Maybe even to think on it. Your kind ain't designed to die." I may be influenced by Caretaker's Journal but this snail is really allergic to hope, seems like if he stayed in isolation he would've become like his uncle.
Chapel Maid is a close second btw, I seriously hope they give her more dialogue because I always came to visit her and she had nothing to say, she clearly seems to be the 'leader' of her family, maybe because shes the most diplomatic.
If Chapel Maid and Caretaker has aged then that’s mean Bell Hermit must be like Chapel Maid or Caretaker’s age when he had Seeker as his son.
I think so! I also think that seeker is slightly older than the siblings, makes me wonder what happened to their parents.
Slightly related sketches of what I think Bell Hermit looked like when he was younger. I headcanon that depending on the type of shell they're born with some snail shamans lose mobility when they're older (if the shell gets pushed down to their back). They end up more so resembling actual snails and rely on their 'tail' (its actually a large foot) to move around, albeit at a slower speed.

Am I the only sicko who has Pinstress as a top 3 fight? There is so so much wrong with it but I've downloaded the Godhome mod and can't stop fighting her. Shaman crest is specifically fun because you can stay in the air so long.
