I saw your military reblog and I'm a trans man in the marines. So no, I wouldn't say the entire military is bad. The president is the one who says those things. Even my ncos agree LGBT people should be in the military.
1. That’s a subjective opinion. I personally dislike the military due to the fact that it exploits poor people into joining to pay off debts through a cycle of poverty. I would know because multiple of my family members have joined the military for this reason. Some of them died, and none of them had actively wanted to go, but it was the only way they could go to college.
2. The president has war powers. The president is related to the military.
3. The fact that our president was willing to exclude trans people from the military was the main point of that post.
4. There have been multiple wars that have been completely unnecessary. I don’t like pitting poor people against each other when a lot of them don’t even know what they’re fighting for/ it’s not a cause they actively chose to risk their lives for.
The US military is really imperialistic, I just don’t support that. Sorry. I understand that others have different opinions, and if you willingly chose to fight for the US government, it’s brave that you’re willing to risk your life. I just think the system is really screwed up.
