The Modest Violet
Who is she?
She seems different
And indeed—she is.
She's not your typical woman
Who would go to parties—
and make a lot of friends
She doesn't have a lot to say when you're with her
But she's the friendliest person if you get to know her better
"She seems pretty awkward"
Well, that's her
She's a modest violet
The type that you don't often see
In a crowd of full of ordinary people.
She's the type who'd rather stay at home
And find comfort in coffee and her blanket
Who usually wears shirts almost twice as big as her
And hair buns on top of her head
And a pair of glasses that reads a lot,
Watches a lot—
And hands that write a lot.
She's the type who won't get famous
By doing a lot more tasks at work than she should ever do
Not by being the prettiest
And not by being the best, either.
She won't get famous for topping exams
And won't get famous for popularity
Instead, she'll be famous for one thing:
Her writing ability
For although she is not the best writer ever
(And not the best reader either)
She'll be famous for writing one day
And she'll write that book
Starting today.
