The guilt she probably feels after everything? she probably wants to work extra hard to stay in everyone's good graces after she almost let the demon go haywire. Even if she did it to protect herself after the canaries started chasing her, she still feels- so awful

i feel like she's always learning everyday that a desire of her's is gone. So she's always struggling and trying to learn how to manage it-

i talked about this to a friend of mine, but i compared it to having a chronic illness in a way. And just- im left thinking about Marcille and the consequences of entangling herself with the demon. And how affected she is after it. She's lucky to have an understanding support network, but that doesn't negate the fact she still has so much lingering guilt and she wants to apologize and make up for it :(( But she doesn't know how to :(( you cant just apologize for almost letting the demon go free. ))
