hiya i have a question. if i wanted to promo an event that's multifandom (also including mcyt fandoms), would that be allowed here? or is this for solely mcyt focused events
Hi anon! We will occasionally reblog multi fandom events but only if the post clearly states mcyt in it or like someone made a post to promote mcytblr involvement in the event. And we don't include multi fandom events in our monthly recaps.
how would one make and hold applications for a mcyt dating sim game?
people use google forms to create the application. some basic information like name and contact info (some people like using emails or social media acounts). questions like what position they are applying for, prior/related experience, optional a portfolio of prior work art/writing/etc.
typical roles for these projects are: writing/art (able to give contributors feedback on their works), and communications. for a dating sim i would assume that you would need someone with experience in game design to compile everything together. and some projects have a dedicated person for admin stuff, like to handle a spreadsheet (or something similar) to track of contributors, deadlines, and such.
always very clearly indicate when the application closes! and making a dedicated blog for the project is very important, it helps gives applicants one place to find the needed information.
Hello!! The majority of what I see on this blog is hermitcraft and life series related, so I was just wondering if you ever post/reblog anything lifesteal and unstable smp related? No worries of not, I am just curious since that's my current mcyt hyperfixation ^^ thanks!
Hello anon! We reblog anything and everything regarding to MCYTblr not just Hermitcraft and the Life Series related posts. Hermitcraft and the Life Series are the biggest most active fandom here on tumblr so they would appear more often than other servers/smps.
There is a chance that we could be missing Lifesteal/Unstable Universe related events because they are not using our tracked tag (#mcytblrsource) or we are not tagged in their posts. So if you see an event and such that we haven't reblogged be sure to tag us in the post or send us an ask to the blog!
We sort fandoms with tags, so you can check out the #lifesteal smp tag and the #mcyt tag for multi fandom events.
And if you want to see more events relating to Lifesteal and Unstable Universe you can always start them yourself! My dms are always open if anyone needs help starting an event.
Between the ber months, which of them has the least amount of writing events? And which is better, a month long or week long challenge/event? If I gather enough courage, I'd probably make my first creation challenge/event (I have zero knowledge what goes on behind the scenes tho so no promises)
I don't know if it's been done already but it's related to the infamous 🔁 card meme
as long as you avoid october you should be golden! i can't say which type of event length is better, i would recommend you run a poll or the like so that the people who would like to participate can vote on what they prefer esp if you are planning these events very far in advance

are there upcoming similar events to AU-gust but can be platonic and has a long time before release? iirc AU-gust prompts were posted during April but the event officially starts in August, so creators have around 4 months to make and complete stuff. iirc Whumptober has a *way* shorter period so every year it's always difficult to plan and start writing for it
hi anon! unfortunately most prompt-based events post their prompts about a month before, if that, before the posting period starts. but you can always start your own event! im sure that other people are having the same thoughts.
Just curious, but will there be another run of this zine? 😁💝 I love the theme but missed contributor apps the last time
hi babes! i dont have any plans for another run this year since im super burnt out from modding zines (im in the middle of formatting three rn sobbing) and i have stepped away from mcyt stuff for a bit. ideally if i have a strong theme/concept i will be getting the gears running for springtime next year! (i have been saving so many fashion resources its ridiculous)
Do yall accept small prompt events? There's both an awesamdream Christmas prompt event and a little monthly c!dreamity event happening right not (both based on the dsmp)
We reblog all events and other regarding MCYT!
What we reblog depends on what we see and when people tell us about events that are going on since MCYT is such a big sphere. For example people using our tracked tag (#mcytblrsource) or directly @'ing us on the post so that we can see it!
