The room is silent for a moment with no sign of the aforementioned whimpering before an electrical voice cuts the silence. “Renee, I ran the audio and it didn’t match Octavio’s. It did, however, bare a striking resemblance to your own pitch and cadence

“no… that’s not…” Her voice trails off into a whisper. Elliot reaches out to place a hand on her shoulder but before he can make contact she begins sprinting down the stairs towards the noise. Elliot and Path share a worried glance before Mirage follows her in pursuit, Pathfinder staying back to keep watch.Her eyes dart around the room, desperately searching for the source of the sound before her eyes settle on a small, shuddering, silhouette huddled in a corner. She steps closer, hand outstretched as though approaching a wounded animal. The shape in front of her stops quivering, but only for a moment before Elliot’s movement down the stairs send her back against the wall, terrified. Wraith looks back at the man in disbelief before his eyes land on the small figure in the corner. “W-What the fuck is going on! Why is there a- why is there a KID in the Canyon?" 

She pulls him aside, his eyes still fixed on the girl.“I think, I think that’s me… well, not me but another Renee, from the void.”
