Neville Longbottom (Harry Potter) is a character that, to me, came off as ace and romantic (exactly what kind of romantic orientation he experiences varies in my head). He is good friends with Luna and Ginny, and happy with these relationships, along with his friendships to Ron, Hermione, and Harry. He doesn’t need a partner to be happy in life, as long as he’s teaching Herbology.

Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) is amazing, hands down. She’s asexual, and she doesn’t care what other people think about it. She’s secure in her sexuality and proud of who she is.

The Doctor is asexual.

Pidge Gunderson (Voltron: Legendary Defender) doesn’t realize they’re ace until they’re older and not fighting a galactic war. They spend time with Hunk talking it over, and eventually is very much ok with, cause let’s be honest: giant fighting lions that can combine into a giant fighting robot are wayyy cooler than people.

Abby Scuito (NCIS) is the literal inspiration for everything that I do. Other than creepy stalker boyfriend in like Season 2, Abby never has any love interests (well, McGee, but I don’t count that). Maybe she doesn’t know the word asexual, but she’s happy being who she is. 

Stanford “Ford” Pines (Gravity Falls) always knew he was different. It wasn’t until he was grown and old that his great niece and nephew helped him find the words he was looking for: asexual and aromantic. What could he say, science had always been more reliable than people, and honestly, he wasn’t great with people anyway.

Michelangelo “Spike” Scarlatti (Flashpoint) is my number 1 favorite ace headcanon. This is where my mod name comes from. Spike is asexual and demiromantic. Like, literally the team jokes that the bomb defusing bot is his girlfriend (a joke he’s fine with, as he refers to the bot as Babycakes). He was in a qpp with Lou Young before Lou died (spoiler, sorry), and he ended up falling in love with Winnie, which was an entirely new experience to him. He’s out and proud with his team, and they support him 100%.

Tues 24th, Day 3: Post about canon and headcanoned asexual/spectrum characters in games and any other media not mentioned in the previous days.

I’m not super into video games but.

I believe Daud from Dishonored is a canon asexual?

Spyro the dragon is ace he’s a dragon and purple.

Wed 25th, Day 4: Post about how a canon asexual/spectrum character came out or how you believe a headcanoned asexual/spectrum character would come out. Or post about them not coming out and why they haven’t.

Luna Lovegood doesn’t like big, grand, coming out parties or anything. For the most part, she keeps it to herself, but if someone asks, she’ll tell them she’s asexual. Not being out very much doesn’t make her insecure, Luna is comfortable with who she is. She doesn’t need anyone else’s approval to identify as asexual or be herself.

Sun 22nd, Day 1: Post about canon and headcanoned asexual/spectrum characters in books and comics.

Nancy from Seanan McGuire’s lovely short story Every Heart a Doorway is the first canon asexual character I ever read about, and it came as a surprise to me! I posted about it almost right away, and you guys blew that post up. I still see notes on it!

I headcanon Eragon from Christopher Paolini’s Inheritance Cycle as asexual. Like, c’mon, the dude is a DRAGON RIDER. Obviously ace.

Keladry from Tamora Pierce’s Protector of the Small quartet is also asexual and aromantic (Word of God, I’m pretty sure). She has no interest in men or women, but has a strong desire to serve the kingdom as its second Lady Knight.

Fri 27th, Day 6: AU day! Post about what canon/headcanoned asexual/spectrum characters from different fandoms that you would like to see meet. What would their meeting would be like, why would you like to see them meet, what sort of relationship do you think they’d have, etc.?

It’s a long shot but Eragon and Keladry should meet. Like they’d have such a good time talking about their adventures and such. They’d be good friends who would figure out a way for letters to cross the interdimensional lines so the can stay in touch.

Charlie Weasley and Eragon would have such a good time talking about dragons. Charlie would be delighted to meet Saphira, and Eragon would be fascinated with the dragons that exist in Charlie’s universe.
