your time comes to a close. you had felt so sick after three deaths in a row, and struggled to investigate. would this lack of evidence let the killer, or killers, get away scott-free? would you find some sort of way to figure out who had committed these horrendous crimes?
“you guys are fucking disappointments. a whole week, and you did nothing! I guess you’d better get down to the courtroom cuz it’s in the rules, but I doubt you’ll actually do shit. I’m sure grandpa would get up here and give you guys an hour long monologue about how pathetic you are if he hadn’t fucked off with grandma to god-knows-where.”
COURT IS NOW IN SESSION .
✘ Here’s the GOOGLE DOCUMENT for the trial. The mods will help you format this, so just focus on getting down the important info and linking the posts said information comes from.
✘ Just as you’d expect from a DR-like trial, the players have all been shuffled into the castle’s court room.
✘ During this period, they can no longer physically investigate. Instead, you can send in asks to the present judges or your fellow players for information about the case to add to the document for easy access.
✘ Feel free to post opens or send asks to attempt discussions with others in your search for the truth. You’re playing detective here, and one of your fellow player’s lives is on the line.
✘ You can ask anything from alibis and testimonies to what’s in players inventories. If your question is considered irrelevant by a judge it will be overruled.
✘ This process will continue on for four days. Again, apologies for the shortened time frame, we’re still trying to play catch up!
✘ After this period, voting will begin and last an additional 24 hours.
✘ Do NOT make assumptions about the case or evidence. Unless something is confirmed by a reliable party or judge it cannot be taken as truth. If your muse has a question about the legitimacy of something, they may ask a NPC if the information isn’t already available in the Google Document.
✘ Exercise patience and communicate with your fellow players. We, the Mods, will answer all questions directed to our characters as quickly as we can – but in the meanwhile, do not forget to deliberate with your fellow players.
✘ Finally, there is no oath enforced on the NPCs. They may retain information, spin riddles, or spill half-truths. It is up to your own personal judgement what information is to be trusted and what is simply them screwing with you.
