This is a contest where you are encouraged to create, share, and fight to the death for the sake of your most prized character! Make art and writing for propaganda, tell us all about them, and face off against one another in a series of randomized polls narrowing down who will win the TF2 OC Contest of 2025!

And a congrats as well to The Reverend mkaing it as a finalist! Y'alls ocs are SUCH heavy hitters, duking it out to the very end. Every second was nail biting. That is worth celebrating.

This year's contest was an INCREDIBLE journey to witness unfold. The constant neck to neck moments in the polls (the TIE so early on in the contest with Nurses and Hunter, Rev and Tary's polls reaching OVER 600 votes. DAMN what sick as hell moments <3), alllllll of the amazing art, and all of the support for each other and cheering on is truly incredible to see. Everyone that joined up worked so hard and so well and we want to thank everyone for participating in this silly little contest. It really means so much to us. This community means so much to us.

Thank you everyone who participated at any capacity. You guys keep us going!

And with that we have a small announcement to make regarding The Nurses VS The Hunter, as it has resulted in a tie.

FIRST AND FOREMOST:

The reason we have our "no ties, only one winner" rule in place is to discourage contestants from attempting to reach a tie on purpose.

However, it's clear based on observations over the course of the Round that this tie was entirely coincidental. Keeping that in mind, and considering the logistical issues of trying to create match-ups for an odd number of fifteen contestants, we've come to a decision.

Both the Nurses and the Hunter will proceed to Round 3. They will not be "merged" into one team and they will be rolled to match up with other competitors in Round 3 like normal, which will bring us to a very clean, even, and manageable number of sixteen contestants proceeding to Round 3.

We WILL NOT be repeating this and will hold fast to our rule going forward.

Keep your eyes peeled for the match-up list on TUESDAY! Round 3 will begin on Wednesday, the day following.

We've attempted to reach out to folks to let them know they've been accepted into the contest, but we've encountered an issue with the messages tab where we can't see anything coming in and aren't able to send anything going out. We're working to resolve it ASAP. This was presumably due to Tumblr flagging for spam, which we didn't anticipate.

If you haven't gotten a message yet, just know: up to THIS POST everyone who's submitted to the contest has been accepted! We'll try to catch any of the stragglers we weren't able to reach before the sudden stoppage soon.

The Couriers have come out on top! And congratulations to The Decoys and The Therapist for a battle well fought! Something Mod Sicc and Mod Mick have planned on from the beginning is if something like this were to happen, then each of the finalists would be receiving art as a prize for making it so far in the contest, and to applaud their characters and their great efforts to get them here. Even beyond the finalists, we would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for coming together and celebrating everyone's OCs over the course of this contest. We always wanted this to be a place of community moreso than competition, and every one of you is an essential part of that. We wouldn't have such a lovely space without all of you! Keep playing, keep creating, keep sharing. We look forward to seeing what you all do next!
