We've been messing around in tiny glade recently, so I thought I'd try and design the main "castle" for the Summer Court. A lot of the structures in the Summer and Spring Courts are inspired by the art nouveau style.

I read on this blog that Dream was cursed after shooting his Mother tree. What kind of curse does he have?

Dream hides the effects of his curse underneath his ecto in most day to day life, trimming the ever growing vines down to their roots every 'morning'. He has near constant lower back pain due to both the growths and the stone covering his bones. This is exacerbated whenever he overworks himself and needs to rest for longer periods of time. He does his best to manage the pain on his own, but sometimes on his really bad days he'll call on Mazarine or Toscirian to assist him.
so, there are different types of magic associated with the spring/summer and autumn/winter courts, but i was wondering what kinds of magic would be associated with each court. for example: fire-based magic. fire season lasts from may-november, so i sort of associate it with both summer and autumn. do the broader categories of magic like elemental magic have overlap with both courts? or does it depend on the magics present in that specific area of court territory? i.e. nobody's gonna do water or ice magic in a desert
In the Courts you can do all types of magic, but some magics are weaker in certain Courts and specialties in others.
Types of Magic:
Some of the different abilities that are commonly seen throughout the Courts. Corporeal magic is the most common amongst fae, Mystic magic is uncommon, and Cardinal magic is quite rare.
Corporeal: Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Ice, Plant, Poison/Acid, Lightning, Cloud/Fog, Explosions, Crystal, Blood
Mystic: Healing, Enchanting, Curses, Illusions, Shapeshifting, Alchemy, Psychic/Mental, Summoning/Banishment
Cardinal: Celestial, Spacial, Time, Chaos, Gravity, Shadow, Light
Common:
More likely to be seen and/or strengthened.
Summer: Celestial, Spacial, Light, Fire, Explosions, Lightning, Water, Plant, Healing, Blood, Enchanting
Autumn: Chaos, Gravity, Fire, Earth, Wind, Cloud/Fog, Blood, Poison/Acid, Curses, Summoning/Banishment
Winter: Celestial, Time, Shadow, Ice, Earth, Water, Cloud/Fog, Lightning, Crystal, Psychic/Mental, Alchemy

(I think it was somewhere with his character sheet or smth, it was about how he doesnβt fly due to his damaged original wings) is there a design for him/her yet? And if yes, could we see pls? :3

here he is! we don't have a name for him quite yet, but nightmare comes up to about shoulder height. they've been friends for a very long time.
If a fae uses sign language, does it hurt their hands if they lie? And what about written text?
Trying to lie while using a sign language or while writing will usually lead to the usual symptoms of nausea, headaches, distortion of vision and/or vertigo in most cases.
Note that this doesn't extend to writing things such as fiction, since the purpose of the writing is to entertain, not to deceive.
Hi! Do you think we'll ever get the details of Dream and Nightmares curses?
Dream's curse is punishment for shooting his brother and the tree. It manifests as stone and vines in his lower spine that continually grow to try and encase him. The vines are not actually harmful to him, and would eventually grow to help support him. However, because he views the curse as a whole as punishment for what he did, he keeps the vines trimmed and the stony parts of him hidden from the public. His curse is to teach him how to stand on his own, but not to forget when he should let himself be held up by others.
Nightmare's curse is for the folly of trying to claim his half of Nimh's inheritance before he was crowned a king. it caused the negativity to overwhelm him, slowly decaying him from the inside out and destroying his wings. if he hadn't left the Seasonal Court and declared independence in forming the Winter Court (thus becoming a king, the pre-requisite for taking Nimh's power) it likely would have consumed him. instead he halted its progress, though he still lives with the very painful consequences of his actions. his body is no longer slowly dissolving, but his bones still leak corruption. his old wings ache and are incredibly brittle. Nightmare's curse was to teach him that without the skills of patience and the capacity to open his heart to others, his life will wilt away.
