Hello all, we’d just like to discuss a potential change in the deadline. We originally planned for apps to close on May 11th. This was largely because this would be the date that both mods would be free for planning. But some things have changed and we’d like to potentially move the application deadline to May 7th at 9PM PDT/Midnight EDT.

We already have more apps than we ever expected to get and we would like to get to working on our cast as soon as we can. We’ve been told that the app is short and easy to fill out, and it seems like the majority of people interested in applying have already sent their app in, so right now it kind of feels a bit like we’re sitting around just waiting for time to pass when most people sent in their app within the first 48 hours.

we have selected our roster. stay tuned for updates in the near future.

with over 50 apps to read through and consider putting on the roster, it was a really tough choice. but we both believe that we have a really solid roster. we wish we could have accepted more, but 22 was our absolute limit for our own sanity.

Mod Grant 

hey y’all! i’m grant, i’m 18, and i never learned how to stop hyper-fixating on fictional characters! lol but in all seriousness, i’m a gay trans guy and am in my senior year of high school. i am currently in the production phase of my first fanzine that i was a mod for by myself. that fanzine is about overwatch and can be found here. my inspiration for this fanzine is that i mega love catra and that brazilian lgbt people really need our love and support. also, i really wanted to create a safe she-ra fanzine for people who dont tolerate gross (abusive, pedophilic, incestual) ships!! i really loved running my first fanzine, but it was really hard doing things by myself, which is why i now have my own mod squad! read about them below!

Yeah, I can share them!

So I don’t think we’ve explicitly mentioned it anywhere, but Mod N recently posted all the character refs and sprites, so I think it’s alright if I say that this actually our second attempt at a skeleton RP. In that RP we tried to stick to a lot of stuff that happens in canon games while adding our own unique spins on things, which is what we’re kinda trying to do here, too! We analyzed a lot of stuff down to canon cast compositions, designs, murders, and executions. I wrote all the executions and made a bunch of mental notes on how to write an execution like you might see in the canon games.

Try to include either an element of irony or something that mocks the OC, usually relating to their talent, but not always. Dark comedy is a big part of the executions.

Most executions have a “ramping level of difficulty”, especially if it’s related to their talent. Like the execution seems manageable for them at first because they’re of course great at their talent. But then another element is added that suddenly makes the execution a lot less survivable.

Try to avoid heavy backstory elements. There can be symbolism, but don’t have their dead sibling show up in the backstory and monologue to them.

Have the Monokuma or Monokuma equivalent present in all executions. For example if the execution involves having a giant robot, have Monokuma piloting the giant robot.

If you’re able to, try and take advantage of the setting. Not all executions have to necessarily take place in the setting, but it’s neat when they do. The last skeleton RP group took place in a Winter landscape, so one of the locations for the executions was a frozen lake.

I don’t think you really need to follow these guidelines, I know I usually don’t when I’m writing executions for most of my OCs. But I think it is nice to at least have a consistent theme of rules for a group or fangan to have in their executions, whether it be these or a completely different set of guidelines.
