Oh hello! I don't imagine any of us on the mod team were expecting an ask here after all this time, but I'm around to at least answer a question.
Model Ronpa! wrapped up about 4 years ago! This game took place back in a time where the practice of separating promotional blogs from game blogs was more common to allow mod teams an easier time setting up pages early without applicants being spoiled prior to the official roster drop. That seems to have fallen out of style (at least in the rp circles I inhabit these days).

Should the App be as lengthy as the Sample Application? I don’t have enough time at the moment because of personal reasons.
We know our sample applications are a bit lengthy, but we really encourage everyone to write as much as you find necessary to thoroughly and clearly describe your character to us! While we definitely aren’t expecting novels from everybody: if we’re lacking in information about the OC, we won’t be able to get a full sense for them and that can skew our judgment.

Mod Cam and I did our best to be as thorough as possible in our sample apps, largely so other people could have a better understanding of what sort of information is needed in each section. We also did this because (if these were real apps) we thought the information we put was necessary to make Boops Boops and Reiko more dimensional and give context to their respective worldviews.
Using Boops in particular as an example, they have a disability. So, our mod team would appreciate being given information on the disability and how it affects Boops as a whole.
Concise writing is completely welcomed by the Mods, but we also ask that you guys give us as much detail as you can about these lovely hopefuls! It’s always a shame being invested in the concept/personality of an OC, but finding the information as to how they came to be like that lacking or seeming to contain plot holes because we weren’t given the proper context. Things like attention to their impactful relationships, perception on crucial backstory events, and any extra information about important medical history are the sorts of things we would like to know.
However, this can still be done in shorter apps! Please don’t take this as us pressuring people to write 20+ page applications! If you can get the job done in far less pages, we think that’s awesome!
We strongly stand by the idea of Quality > Quantity, and we have seen some very effective apps in the past with concise writing. And, in turn, we have also seen some lengthy apps that provided us with repetitive filler that didn’t necessarily add anything new to the character, but instead was just written to grow the page count.
I guess the best advice that we can give is that it’s better to give an abundance of details over giving too little! We want to know just what makes your character tick, and so long as you can convey that to us effectively and have it make sense - that’s what we’re aiming for!
We’ve already answered this in another ask [HERE] and in our How to Play, but trials will be Tumblr Submission-based! This makes it easier to control the flow of trial and allow more people to participate at their own pace!
Our OOC Chat, investigations, and likely most private threads (though the last one will moreso be up to the players, so long as the mods can monitor it) will be hosted on Discord!
Do you plan on there being any sequels for this game?
It’s a bit too early to gauge something like that right now! It would 100% depend on how well this game goes and if the mods would have any interest in doing something else in this universe we’ve set up. Frankly, I’d rather not count our eggs before they hatch. Getting a RP group to endgame is a lot of work and will take a lot of time, motivation, and participation on everyone’s part.
As of right now, the thought hasn’t even crossed our minds to be quite honest. However!! If this game goes well and we would be up for running another group based off of the backstory we have here, we would be sure to let people know! But, all three of us have completely separate projects in mind that we would want to (hopefully) get to do as well.
For now, we’re focusing on pulling the final roster together and getting this fashion show on the road ! Any possible discussions of a sequel would have to come a bit later. We’re really appreciative of the interest though !!

Absolutely!! Once we get closer to roster release (and the time following that, of course), we would be happy to promote other groups for everyone to go and check out! There’s a lot of great games that seem to be popping up !
can our oc have already been attending hpa for, say, a year or so before the game start? or must they be a new student to the school?
Yes! HPME recruits new models from all over HPA’s Talent Course! Not everyone in the final roster will be in the same class. They’ll be from all different grades.
