Just a couple days ago we hit 100 followers! Honestly I had no idea where this blog was going to go when I first started it up. I guess I figured it’d mostly just be me reblogging various artist’s posts to let them know they were appreciated and to encourage them to keep up the good work, since I know personally just how wonderful it can feel to get just one note for your art, but I am absolutely jazzed that so many of you have joined in and turned this from just single reblogs into a whole community where various artists and people who appreciate art can share each other’s art, find new artists to follow, and support each other across all ranges of skills and mediums.Â
I know 100 people is technically small here on Tumblr, but again, every note and especially every person counts, and it makes me so happy to know that there are as many as 100 of you out there supporting each other. Thank you guys so much for making this little blog so much bigger than I ever expected and for bringing the community together just a bit more. <3Â
As an extra note, I’d like to remind you guys that submissions are open, and that if there’s any piece of art that you’d really like to alert my attention to, submit a link to the post and I’ll reblog that original post.Â
Finally, as so many of you following me are artists yourselves, I’d like to leave you guys with an art prompt! Considering May is Mental Health Awareness month, the prompt is as follows:Â
Draw your safe place: Whether it be a location in the physical world or within your mind, draw your safe place, where you can comfortably meditate and cool off to think things over. Draw it realistically or put your own abstract spin on it; draw it however you want, however you see it.Â
Of course you don’t have to do the prompt unless you want to, but if you do, please message me or tag me if you decide to post it! I’d love to see what you guys create! ^-^ (Of course it’s perfectly fine if it’s personal and you’d rather keep the drawing private)
