Hi! I’m Not Nanda™️, but I am her boyfriend so I feel like I can offer some decent advice that could help you, since I’m looking at her process from the outside. The basics are:

Focus on one part of the writing process at a time exclusively. You shouldn’t be thinking about editing while you’re writing, just focus on having something written first

Write the type of stuff you want to read! If your work isn’t making you happy, read some stuff that does and pick it apart to figure out what you like best and what you can change in your work to mirror it more closely.

Don’t be afraid to have a beta you trust! I love betaing for Nanda, almost all the stuff you read here has been checked by me for clarity, appropriate emotional impact and pacing, etc.. She’ll also ask for ideas sometimes, and we can talk out her vision so she can figure out exactly what she wants to put on paper.

It takes time to get better at any craft, and you have to be willing to fail in order to succeed

Form a habit! I know she said she doesn’t write daily, but that’s because she’s got responsibilities that make it unfeasible. If you can do it, you should. When you don’t have to wait for ~inspiration~, you can actually write your masterpiece

Nanda edit: This is all very good advice I should probably follow myself hahaha But also I highly doubt your writting is as bad as you think it is, nonnie! You are probably just too close to it to see it clearly. As long as you are having fun and writing things you like, that's all that matters, and like-minded people will accompany you. ^^
