HI TALES THANK YOU TALES π°
Celebrated #CoffeeDay today with a cup of Nicaraguan coffee at @conservatorycoffeeandtea. I brewed up some of the delicious (!!)Yemeni coffee I got there two days ago, and baked it into the brownies. So yeah, happy #MochaDay too!! The brownies are looking ahead a bit. π π The amazing @marinakatura got some nice shots, so hopefully I'll be sharing better pics soon!! π So you guys know that I'm kinda light-hearted and goofy, but I do feel things deeply. Right now I'm thinking of the simple (and complex) pleasures and privileges we take for granted, like coffee, and the journey through history, hardship and conflict those beans have taken to land in our cup. What a rare and wonderful privilege it is to be able to buy coffee from Yemen! My heart and prayers go out to them and others who need peace and safety. My heart and prayers go out also to Puerto Rico, where the coffee crops, like so many others, are certainly destroyed. (I didn't even know coffee grew in PR - thanks AJ.) I'm grateful for all the opportunities I have to learn and grow and express myself and my love (yes, I do it with food π π), and I'm actively seeking ways to make our world a better place. Love and hugs to you, Acooba (at The Conservatory)
