“I did not lie to you!” he yelled back. Who was he? Well, I can’t be sure anymore. I thought he was Dolos… but I mentioned to Remus that I was dating Dolos, Deceit… he told me Dee’s name wasn’t Dolos.
“Yes, you did!” I yelled.
“No, I didn’t!” Stop lying to me! I know you’re lying. You keep lying! Stop it!
“Stop lying to me! You told me your name was Dolos, when it isn’t.”
“That…. was me having trust issues,” Deceit mumbled. I froze, looking down at my feet.
“You could’ve just told me! I would’ve accepted that answer, Dee,” I spoke softly, furrowing my eyebrows
“You… were kinda pressuring me for my name, so I gave you the first one I thought of, and you seemed happy, so I just… went with it.”
“Oh, Dee, I’m so sorry,” I mumbled, hesitating, before hugging him. I felt him tense up, before relaxing and hugging me back.
“It is all right my Dear. I apologise for lying to you.”
“Oh Baby, you don’t need to be sorry,” I hummed. I kept hugging him, gently rubbing his back. He took a step back, looking at me. He took one of his gloves off, holding his bare hand up to me.
“My real name… Is Janus,” He spoke calmly.
“Aww, Janus. That’s so cute! Such a cool name!” I chirped, hugging him again, smiling brightly.
“Did you want to go cuddle in your room, Patton?” Deceit asked calmly.
“Mn, how about some Dance Dance Revolution?” I asked, looking up at him.
“Well, I have to warn you that I am quite good at him.”
“We’ll see,” I chuckled, smiling at him, kissing his cheek, and leading him to my room.

I smiled slightly, happy by Patton’s excitement. Roman had figured out how we could meet other versions of us. I think it was through the imagination and some magic Roman had got Remus’ help with. I held Patton’s hand, calmly walking to the meet-up spot. I wonder what this Deceit will be like? Will he be like me? Or more like Patton?
----------
“C’mon Doli! We get to meet another of us!” I chirped, holding Dolion’s hand, leading him to the meet-up place.
“Yes, Konni. I know. You’ve been going on about it all week,” Doli muttered.
“I know you’re excited too,” I teased, smiling at him, catching him rolling his eyes. He looked down at me, not smiling, though I could tell he was.
“Let’s just get there already,” he huffed. What will the other me be like?
-----------
Janus and I had been waiting for them, before seeing two unfamiliar people approach. I smiled brightly.
“Heya Kiddos. I’m Patton, Morality!” I chirped, shaking their hands.
“It’s another you Pat,” Janus joked, which the other person chuckled at.
“Actually, Konni is the opposite of you Deceit. I am the opposite of Patton.”
“Cool! Can I keep him? I want another you!” both Konni and I chirped.
“No Pat. Then I’ll have to leave you for their universe.” I looked at Janus, pouting at him. “We can continue to write letters and maybe visit up if they want it.”
“I definitely want more visits,” Konni chirped, “Doli, introduce yourself!”
“I am Dolion. Deceit.”
“Janus. Deceit.” They both shook hands.
“We should play some couple games! That’ll be fun! We can get to know each other better!” I giggled.
“Oh! Great idea! Doli? Can we!? Can we?!”
“Whatever Konni. As long as we get back before Aeneas gets worried.”
“This was a great idea Jan. Thanks for doing this,” I spoke, hugging Janus.
It was late at night, and I was in the kitchen, sipping my wine, pretending to inspect my nails through my yellow gloves. I doubted anyone else was awake. Maybe Virgil, but he’d be in his room, ruining his hearing with loud music. I continued to sip my wine, the glass only a quarter full. I hummed, swirling the red liquid slightly, before taking another sip.
“Mh? Kiddo, it’s late. You should go to bed.” I heard someone yawn those words, and by the use of ‘kiddo’, I assumed it was Patton.
“I’m not one of your Kiddos Patton,” I spoke calmly, drinking the last of my wine, rinsing the glass.
“Oh, Jan, it’s late. You should go to bed.” I chuckled lightly.
“My dear, why are you awake then?” I asked.
“Mn, I was asleep. Had a nightmare. Came to get a glass of milk,” he yawned, rubbing his eyes. I smiled softly, and grabbed a glass, filling it up with milk. I then walked over to him, handing it to him.
“There you go. Drink,” I kindly ordered. I saw a smile creep onto his face, as he sipped the milk. We both stood in silence as Patton finished the milk. He then rinsed it off.
“Follow me,” I spoke calmly, gently grabbing his wrist, leading him up to my room.
“Where’re we goin’?”
“My room.” I heard him hum in response to me, as I kept leading him to my room.
Once we were there, I let him in, leading him to my bed. He laid down, smiling at me. I went to my closet, grabbing pillows and blankets to set up a makeshift bed.
“Jan,” Patton yawned. I hummed, looking at him.
“Yes, Dear?” I asked softly.
“We’re dating. You’re allowed to touch me.” I looked at him, hesitating, before nodding. I put my makeshift bed away, snapping into my pyjamas. I sat on my bed, before laying down, not touching him though. I faced away from him. I felt his arms wrap around me, and a soft kiss being pressed into the back of my neck.
“You don’t need to be afraid anymore. I’m here for you,” He murmured.
“I know Love. It’s a hard habit to break though.”
“As long as you can touch me, you’ll be safe. I’m here for you and will protect you.”
I smiled softly, tears in my eyes. I rolled over to face him.
I sat, alone in the imagination. Roman had let me in. I felt lonely. I was the Dad. My job was to care for others, not be cared for. I sighed, sitting with my legs crossed, my head resting on my hand, as the other hand picked at the grass. He’ll get up me later for this, but he can fix it.
“Patton?” I flinched. No one else should be here. Who is that? I turned around, seeing Janus there.
“Ah, hello Janus,” I spoke calmly, trying to smile; to keep the façade.
“What’s upsetting you?” Upsetting me?
“What do you mean? Nothing is upsetting me?” I asked, tilting my head slightly. He raised an eyebrow at me.
“I can see through your lies.” I sighed, looking at the grass, frowning, as I picked at the grass.
“I’m lonely. I have to care for others. No one cares for me,” I mumbled.
“Well, let’s not change that.” He sat next to me, waving his hand, summoning a bouquet. He picked up a flower from the bunch, sitting on his knees, moving behind me.
“What are you doing?” I asked, trying to look at him.
“Don’t move,” he instructed. I hummed in response, staying still, curious about what he was doing.
We stayed like that, in silence for a while, the bouquet next to me, slowly getting smaller. He then handed me a mirror.
“What’s this?” I asked, taking it though, looking at myself in it. My auburn hair littered with blue and yellow flowers. Lily of the Nile and yellow Allium moly.
“You wanted someone to care for you, so I braided flowers into your hair,” he calmly explained.
“I love it. Thank you!” I hugged him tightly, smiling brightly.
“I’m glad.” I looked at his face, his scales shining in the sunlight. I calmly pressed a soft kiss to his scaled cheek.
“Can I do your hair?” I asked excitedly. He smiled slightly, nodding calmly. He took his hat off, revealing dark brown, loose curls. He then waved his hand, summoning another bouquet. I got a small stool to sit on, so I could reach his head. Though, instead of braiding the flowers in, I made him a flower crown, gently placing it on his head, before pressing a small kiss to the back of his neck.
“Thank you for caring Janus. I appreciate it a lot.”
“No worries Patton. I would do anything for you.”
“Why is that?” I asked, tilting my head, still behind him.
“Well, it’s simple. I am in love with you.” What? He loves me?!
“I love you too!” I chirped happily, hugging him tightly. He gently grabbed my hand, kissing the back of it.
