#mnemoniconart #valentines #valentinesday2020 #heart #anatomy #skull #spear #arrows #sculpture #love #xiv #saintvalentinesday Best photos of the latest and past made valentines. originally only sculpted in sculpey, i moved on to framework with chicken wire and a mix if paper mache and epoxy- until finally falling upon sculpting it in clay and casting it in plastic resin. the best results vary in my opinion. one one hand the beauty of a really clean model with the ability it make copies is unbeatable sort of, but unless they are customized in some sort of way (as seen with the use of a handmade mini spear and plastic arrows) so that they each have their own uniqueness. making these hollow posed a problem prior to the plastic resin ones as it required sculpting each valentine inside and outside. ‘twas difficult at the time. the plastic resin allows a slosh casting to be made which yields very positive results (pun not intended) @smoothon (the one with the spear and arrows was made with your products- 65d and moldstar in a pressure pot) each of the valentine’s (aside from any copies of the latest one) held a unique message before being seen shut. i dont know anyone who has opened them yet. most people are afraid of being unable to restitch them i think, which is fair; they were a little tricky. the latest one held a mummified finger with a ring around it wrapped in dyed linen asking for my girl’s hand in marriage, the spear retaining all the pieces inside. #occult #voodoo #shesaidyes duh. if you share this pic, just shoot me some cred;) have a happy #vday y’all. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8cmYo2HCYK/?igshid=1h77vmxv9zlis
