I do have a question about Passive's design, if you don't mind.
Is his magic-fucked-up eye inspired by the moon and its phases?
I noticed how it's got four phases so far + three additional.
Respectively, there's the small, almost half, half, and almost full.
There's also three additional for Night's sprites of looking to he sides and having upright closed eyes, but I think those are just for sillies...
-🐰 (ooc)
Yep, they are inspired by the moon phases! The moon part(light purple) acts like his eyelight on that side. I do that to help better convey Night’s emotions! And it’s fun :D
They don’t like. Actually follow the moon phases, but his actual crown thing that Mare now has does. Actually made a sprite for that, let me get it—
Night is subconsciously projecting what his crown looked like over eye—because his eye got demolished, before he died. And the crown follows the moon phases!
There’s no full moon or new moon phases…yet. New moon would obviously go with Night having his eyelights going out, but I have no idea what to do with a full moon. Closest I got is with the scary faces lol. Which I have updated! Have a few of those as well:

A disheveled man in a twisted realm who claims to be Red- yes, THE Red, despite bearing no resemblance in appearance or personality. He somehow seems to possess knowledge of things he shouldn't know, and an unnerving ability to do that which should be impossible. His body appears unstable, and though the same could be said of his behaviors... the odd man acts and talks as if he's an old friend of yours, and always seems relaxed around you- showing off his loud and passionate personality, and always bearing a Cheshire grin.

A young woman who's passionate about researching Pokemon, especially those of legend. If there's one thing that matters to her more than her studies, it's ensuring the safety of those around her at all costs. Though often reserved, she's headstrong, intelligent, and friendly when given the chance to shine. Next to nothing is known about her history- all she's said voluntarily is that at the age of 11, she was adopted by the Yuuji family, and that she received the third starter from Professor Oak when they were given to the dexholders. Strangely, official records, though obscure, point to her disappearance and presumed death many years ago. Even now, she still likes to vanish for days at a time.

Said to be the strongest Pokemon Trainer in the world, Red's rise to fame after defeating Team Rocket and the Indigo League set him on a path to greatness. But that was years ago- Soon after his victory, the boy vanished into the snowy peaks of Mount Silver, and has, since then, only appeared at major battling events or establishments- always determined to defend his title as the "very best." Due to his reclusive and silent nature, nobody knows much about him- not even his closest friends and family. But every time he vanishes and appears again, it's always from that same mountain, his gaze duller at every return.

Thinking back to the time when Maki’s lore was basically a copy of Minori’s 😭 I was so unoriginal. And it was back in January too…
The part I love most in Maki’s lore is how she was bullied for being smart. Well, not exactly that, but… Because she was smart, people expected her to help them / let them copy her homework. And yk, why would she let them just steal her efforts??? And I guess that made them all mad, that they started isolating and bullying her.

Why have the ghosts started disappearing with time??
I’m too lazy to get the pictures right now but, the ghosts started off fully colored, then became kinda transparent, then became glowing of one color and then they became just outline. (I know it’s just a style change, but it’s really funny to me for some reason)
uh. I got lazy xD
in-universe…they’re just putting less energy into being seen. Because becoming more tangible can take a lot of energy, so they’re conserving it so they can appear visible to others for longer.
I just made all that up right now lol. I’ll continue to do that.
So it’s all more of a subconscious thing. When a ghost first appears, they’re fully visible and colored, but if they don’t hold onto their appearance, with their outline being the only thing remaining.
They can also look like blobs(?) like Napstablook, but that’s more when they lose their sense of self(which won’t happen here, but it’s just what does happen when ghosts forgot who they were in life). Fun fact that I actually did think about before typing this xD
Hey, guys! I have a question if you don't mind me asking. :)
Now, I might just be slow, but it's taken me far too long to realize that Fire had not said a single word to us. (Because he's MUTE-) Like, he can make noise—albeit, very quiet noise—but he cannot speak. Instead, what he says gets projected into our brains using like, holy magic or something. I dunno.
[Spoiler for the Palette Glitch story. If you haven't read Palette Glitch before now, then I recommend that you do so. It's really good, and it's much better if you don't know what happens.]
In Palette Glitch, Blue can't understand Fire. It looks like he can understand when he mouths a word, like when he was begging for his life at the end (yes, I went and reread Palette Glitch. And DAMN is it good. Pain is my favorite thing to ingest in the morning.), but Fire never actually spoke, even when he tried to. Not to mention that he also called attention to the fact that he couldn't speak in his inner dialogue and that he didn't know why he couldn't. It looks (to me) like he didn't know that he couldn't speak until he tried and failed.
[Spolier over. Feel free to read on from here.]
As for Leaf, in the section where you explained her duties, it was mentioned that Fire spoke, but when he did, it was soulless, objective, and only served to remind her of her duty. Maybe this is just wishful thinking, but that doesn't sound like Fire to me. I don't think that, if he saw his sister alive again, he would only remind her of her duty (which I don't think he would have even known about at that point?), and, y'know, not be happy to see her again, even if he sucked at showing it. Leaf clearly understood him back then, but I don't know about now though, as she doesn't seem to have a read on him.
All of this yapping has been kind of unnecessary, but I guess I wanted to lay out my reasons for asking. Anyway, to get to the point, the question I'm trying to ask is this:
Are we (the players, in comparison to everyone else) just god-tier Fire interpreters? Can anyone else understand what Fire says or is it just us? Could we translate for other people?
[fire doesn't have a voice of his own, and you cannot hear it. but you still understand him. he communicates with you in a way he cannot with anyone else. after all, you haven't heard a single voice, have you? but theres a certain way that you know exactly what your little friends are saying. a way thats convenient for him and you, but, indeed, you're some of the only ones who sees this world this way.]
