I want to preface this post by saying that I became a fan of Marks in the spring of this year and about two months ago decided I liked him and his content enough to become a YouTube member. In that time I have been privy to some pretty secrety secrets, received helpful advice, enjoyed a shit ton of laughter, and gotten a better understanding of who Mark is as a creator and a person all through his members only streams, which are a perk for helping support his channel (I feel like I’m on the winning end here). That said, in today’s members stream Mark spoke about running and creating content on YouTube. Both of these things are new hobbies to me and I’ve been struggling in both areas lately, so I welcomed his unintentional advice with open arms and an open mind. However, Mark made a comment about how if you want to enjoy running than run slower than you think you can and build up endurance to keep going a little further each time (I’m paraphrasing here). His advice stuck with me in my run today. I have been struggling to complete a full mile, as I’ve only been actively running for about a month now, and today I was bound and fucking determined to make it a mile. I started out so slow and it felt like I was walking through molasses on a hot day, but I kept going. I found myself actually enjoying my run and before I knew it, I had completed an entire mile. The first one ever. I am so damn proud of myself because I am a person who hates running. I cannot begin to describe the rush of endorphins that are coursing through my body, I just feel great! All this to say that you never what you will get when you take a chance on someone. I’m not usually one to pledge support to people, but I’m glad I decided to become a member of Markiplier’s channel. If you have a few bucks to spare each month, I’d suggest checking out his membership perks. Y’all won’t regret it! Thank you Mark for the motivation and inspiration, whether it was intentional or not. Today’s stream felt like a bunch of friends just shootin’ the shit and hanging out talking about life and I really fucking love that. Thank you for the advice on creating content and getting better and just being so cool. I wish for big things for you (and me too!). ✌🏻🖤
