thinking about lightning speed’s panic attack in episode 33. helia instantly dropping everything to help him. lightning speed saying it’s been “a while since that’s happened” and helia knowing exactly what to do implying he does indeed have panic attacks at times. sibling rivalry to sibling hurt/comfort AND I AM LIVING FOR IT I LOVE THEM I LOVE THEM I LOVE THEM MY CHILDREN MY BABIES MY TWINSSS

and now i may be inclined to write a fic about lightning’s panic attack history? hmm…

so. about my latest post about lightning speed. i indeed feel the need to write a fic about that. since you seem to be one of the only existing alive members of this fandom, any ideas or input on this?

lowkey i kinda do LOLLL!!! my one idea being more of like… lightning has a specific way of acting in most situations that i think would be interesting to expand upon.

He seems to definitely have some kinda toxic masculinity that’s riddling him (caused or at least heightened by being the one guy in his household after his fathers abandonment (not even an hc, helia literally clocks this in ep8? i think?)) but that i feel like kinda caused lightning to be hyper-aggressive and make most of his negative emotions siphon into anger

his sadness turns into anger (him lashing out after all the ep27 stuff (fighting sandbar, yelling at rainbow, misdirected irritation at scar)) his anger turns into rage (he drops long time friends at the drop of a hat if hes mad (nightlight.. cough)) and his worry and concern turns into anger too (his worry for helia causing him to be mean to her, scar, and nightlight for various reasons)

it wouldnt shock me if his fits of anxiety and panic looked more like him lashing out in anger sometimes, yknow? kind of like a “nobody fucking touch me everyone shut up” nervous jittery anger? obviously this wouldnt be every instance but i could imagine him having a panic attack every now and then that reads more mad than anything
