Kris Bubic: Rehabbing left-hander headed to the Dodgers in trade with the Royals
The Dodgers aren't done adding pitching.
Los Angeles has reportedly reached an agreement to acquire left-handed pitcher Kris Bubic from the Kansas City Royals in a trade-deadline deal.
Bubic, who has been rehabbing from injury, gives the Dodgers another potential option for their pitching staff if he returns to full health. In exchange, the Royals are expected to receive rookie right-hander Carlos Duran.
While Bubic has spent much of the season recovering from shoulder and elbow issues, he previously showed the ability to contribute as a starter, making this a low-risk move with potential upside for Los Angeles.
The trade had been reported by multiple outlets, but the teams had not officially announced it at the time of reporting. Read More…

The biggest headline of the MLB trade deadline is here: Tarik Skubal is headed to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers have added one of the game's elite left-handed pitchers, reinforcing an already star-studded roster as they push for another World Series title.
For the Tigers, it's the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter, with a package of top prospects helping shape the franchise's future.
One trade. Two franchises. Huge implications for the rest of the 2026 season.
What do you think—championship move for LA or smart long-term business for Detroit?
Mets Kick Off Trade Deadline by Sending A.J. Minter to Twins for Two Prospects
The New York Mets have officially begun their trade deadline moves, sending veteran left-handed reliever A.J. Minter to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for infield prospects Bruin Agbayani and Billy Amick. The deal signals the start of what could become a larger roster reshuffle as the Mets look toward the future.
Minter, 32, has been one of the Mets' most dependable bullpen arms this season despite missing time earlier in the year with a lat injury. He returned to post a strong 2.35 ERA with excellent command, making him an attractive target for contenders seeking late-inning relief. The Twins, who are battling for an American League playoff spot, gain an experienced southpaw capable of strengthening their bullpen for the stretch run.
In return, New York adds two promising young infielders. Billy Amick brings notable power after a productive Double-A campaign, while 19-year-old Bruin Agbayani—son of former Mets fan favorite Benny Agbayani—adds long-term upside to the organization's farm system.
The move is widely viewed as the first step in the Mets' trade deadline strategy, with additional veteran players potentially on the move before the deadline expires. Meanwhile, the Twins have made it clear they intend to strengthen their roster as they push toward the postseason.
