Synopsis dropped for Yaksi Gozen and Noe. I suspect that Chloe will be behind the film in Noe.

The synopsis:

Shadow Moth's trap closes in on Ladybug and Cat Noir, threatening to turn their fate upside down.

Man, when I read those season 3 episodes, I was so hyped. Like, man, you don’t even know how excited I was for these poorly translated episodes.

And then, you know, the fandom exploded and I got sad, because of a variety of things. So I’m going to go through each episode’s synopsis and try to put a positive spin on things, like how this episode could be great and all that. Also a bit of predicting. Date of post: February 4th, 2019.

Of course, also remember that Thomas said on Twitter he’s been carefully lying for years, trying to keep these episodes a secret. So if you haven’t read the synopsis for these episodes yet, good! Do Papa Astruc proud! But if you already have and you’re sad that a lot of people are more sad about them, then keep reading! TL;DR at the bottom (though it’s vague).

1. Chameleon. We already saw this one. Moving on.

2. Animaestro: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge a producer. Now Animaestro, he wants to show the world what an animation producer is made of! Guys. Jeremy Zag is the producer of ML, at least in America. I hope this is a nice, lighthearted episode poking fun at him.

3. Boulangerix: Ladybug challenges her own grandfather. Now Boulangerix, he wants to destroy what he deems too modern to get back the Paris of his time. This may be Tom’s father, which is interesting in itself. Why isn’t he with Tom’s Mother? Did they divorce? Were they never married? Or, maybe, it’s Sabine’s father. It could be possible that Sabine is originally from Paris. (In this case, it would make a bit of sense for their house to have very little Chinese stuff/for Marinette to not really adopt much of the culture.)

4. Rebrousse-temps: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge a friend of Master Fu. Now Time-Backer, she wants to catch up on the wasted time by stealing others! Okay, now my first thought is...Adrien’s mom? She’s been in a coma for at least a year. And my second one is...Alix’s mom? I mean, her family is MADE of historians. She could’ve been on a trip once and met Fu. And this world is pretty magical; she could have been cursed at some point. Plus, Time-Backer is very close to Timebreaker spelling-wise. However, I’m totally prepared for it to be a brand new character and that’s what I’m expecting. I’m very interested in all this possible worldbuilding!

5. Poupeflekta: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge Juleka, now Reflekta once again. But this time the supervillain isn’t alone... The “Poupe” part makes me wonder if she gets help from Princess Fragrance. I think Chloe will be involved, making both Juleka and Rose angry. All in all, very fitting that the first partnered villain is Julerose.

6. Papa Garou: we already saw this one--wait a second. Let me write this out. Ladybug fights against her father, Weredaddy. Mate, mate, maaate..... Chat Noir fought him, and also.... WEREDADDY? This is hilarious. I’m imagining all the Weredaddy posts now. Oh god. Oh GOD GO TO THE NEXT ONE--

7. Silence: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge Luka, akumatized into Silence. Ready to make your voice heard? is this the episode where we find out Luka hates music because if that is then pLOT TWIST. Either way, I’m hoping for many silent film tropes.

8. Oni-chan: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge Kagami, now Oni-Chan. Jealous of Lila, she wants to stop her from getting close to Adrien...Forever! I am hoping and praying for a Kagami and Marinette VS. Lila match up. I am l i v i n g for that. Although I am wondering...Kagami is okay with Adrien being with Marinette though? What if Lila is bothering Adrien and Kagami just gets irritated at her...like a big sister protecting her little brother HOLY CRAP I THINK I JUST FIGURED OUT THE NAME OF THE EPISODE.

9. Miraculeur: Ladybug and her team challenge Sabrina, now Miraculeur. You know, I would be offended, but honestly...nah we’re a pretty salty bunch. On the bright side...SABRINA EPISODE! Also.... her TEAM! THE BAND’S GETTING BACK TOGETHER!!!!

10. Oblivio: A villain strolls through Paris and Ladybug and Chat Noir have lost their memory! Will they be able to defeat Oblivio so he’ll just be a bad memory? I’m like 100% sure this is the name of a Harry Potter spell, which, fairly, is based off Latin so I don’t think this is stealing. Anyway, I think this is the Lady Noir and...Manbug? episode, which is exciting!!!!!.

11. Desperada: Ladybug and her team challenge Desperada, an akumatized guitarist. Rock’n’roll day planned for our heroes! Is...this another Jagged episode? Maybe a back-up guitarist? Maybe Luka and Juleka’s dad? Idk, the “Rock’n’roll” part makes me think Jagged.

12. Maitre Noel: Nino’s little brother gets akumatized into Master Christmas. Ladybug and Chat Noir will have to not do him any favors if they want to stop him! I kinda hope they keep his name as Chris Master, because that name is more clever, but whateves. I wonder if Chris gets akumatized because he’s mad at Nino’s lack of screentime? Also, this is most definitely a Christmas episode so we’ll finally have a Christmas Miraculous episode without singing or a dabbing Santa!

13. Startrain: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge Max’s mother, now Startrain. Our heroes will need to help stop her! I’m excited to get more development for Max! And Startrain is a great name. Idk why it’s so great to me. It sounds like the name for a kids ride. I love it. By day, she’s a conductor, by night an astronomer.

14. Chasseuse de Kwamis: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge Mrs. Mendeleiev, now Kwami Huntress. She sounds like another Hawk Moth puppet, as in...just kinda seizing someone, like with Gigantitan. Unless she manages to spot someone’s kwami (probably Tikki, Mari just chats away to her all the time lmao), tries telling someone about it, is called crazy, and then gets akumatized? Imagine Marinette, Adrien, Chloe, Alya, and Nino all being like “nope nah you’re bonkers”

15. Festin: When Master Fu’s past comes back to haunt him, he takes away Marinette and Adrien’s Miraculouses to protect them... This could be a result of Kwami Huntress, tbh. And the anguish of doing this calls to Hawk Moth. I sense angst, but it’s not relationship angst!! Something new...ish. What if this is when Mousinette and stuff happens? Marinette runs to the shop, grabs some Miraculous, and stops him?

16. Gamer 2.0: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge Max, now Gamer 2.0. Let the games begin! I just really hope this is a Hunger Games homage. And I hope he teams up with other people to just really drive it home.

17. Climitika 2: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge once again Aurore Boreale, now Climitika 2. To stop her, the heroes will need to not get cold feet! Another Frozer episode, perhaps? Paris is frozen over again or sent into an insurmountable blizzard, and they need to get the ice powers back? Hopefully no angst this time.

18. Ikari Gozen: Kagami’s mother is akumatized into Ikari Gozen and wants to punish Kagami, who disobeyed her. Will Ladybug save her best enemy? When was Kagami her--nevermind, Chloe might be caught up in this too. Unless something happens in Oni-Chan that changes things. Either way, I hope this is kind of a Kagami redemption? Not that she’s done anything wrong, as of Season 2.

19. Timetagger: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge Timetagger, a supervillain from the future come to seize their Miraculouses. Paris’ fate is in their hands! So this feels like Timebreaker 2 (or 3, if Time-backer is Timebreaker 2). Not a bad thing, however: 1. We always need more Alix. 2. Future Alix? 3. Maybe Future Alix got the miraculouses, panicked, and went back in time and is now going to deliver them to Hawk Moth? sklfewkjfoe PLEASE.

20. Trouble Fete: Ladybug and her team challenge Wayem, now Killjoy. Will our heroes manage to put a smile back on his face? WHO. HURT. THIS. SUNSHINE CHILD. I’m looking forward to see my boy again but WHO HURT HIM?? I WANT JUSTICE!!

21. Puppeteer 2: (it had a french name, but it’s long and bleh). Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge the Puppeteer at the Grevin museum! Our heroes will need to put on a show to stop her! Eyyy Manon, we haven’t seen her in a while! This seems like a fair “repeat” episode. She probably wants the dolls again, and her mom’s like “kid remember what happened last time??” and she’s like “YEAH GIMME THE DOLLS.” and then mayhem.

22. Chat Blanc: Ladybug challenges the last person she would have thought capable of being akumatized... Chat Noir! sdlkjfe okay so the fandom was REALLY mad about this episode. But like...it makes 100% sense? Black Cat akumatized becomes White Cat. Chat’s a sensitive boy. Also...I remember reading a lot of people wanting this to happen??? I really wanted this to happen, and I had hope because it was a very realistic possibility. And look! It was!!

Also...yeah, it probably will be because he’s rejected by Ladybug. But, come on, this is a kid’s show. Unless this is The Reveal (Reveal HM to Chat or vice versa), I don’t really see any other option or avenue. //unless....he sees his mom’s casket?? Or maybe again he’s mad about being left in the dark and gets fed up??

And... the last person? LB he’s fought by your side like twice aldsfjwe this boy is very much a flight risk.

23. Felix: Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge Alya, Rose, and Juleka, akumatized into the Punisher’s Trio, and Felix, Adrien’s cousin. Yet ANOTHER controversial one! It’s very much in the same boat as Blanc. (Also, I think this is the part where Astruc lied the most, which isn’t a bad thing. He was asked if Felix would be on the show, and to give everyone doubt and hoping to keep it a surprise, he said no. Or maybe he’s reworked Felix again, so metaphorically, it’s not the same Felix?) But I mean...more character building for Adrien! FOUR villains!!! or maybe Felix isn’t even akumatized lol what if he’s just trying to get in their way. What if Felix is a little kid who’s a huge CN fan? Or thinks it’s all a game?

24. Ladybug: Marinette gets kicked out of school, but an even bigger problem awaits her: she has to face a sentimonster with the image of...Ladybug! Alright, what’s a sentimonster? Google just shows me Miraculous memes. So I’m going to assume it’s just a name for “monster.” So there’s monsters now. I’m guessing this is explained in a previous episode. Also...Heroes Day, Anti-Bug, Sandboy, and Timebreaker flashbacks. There have been a lot of Double Ladybug episodes! And we get another! I wonder if there’s going to be a “I’m the real one, shoot him!” situation. Then again, there was already one in Copycat, but I bet this one will be a lot harder. If this is just some random monster and not an akuma victim, will Chat use his Cataclysm on it? And narrowly use it on the real Ladybug? Stakes!!!!!! Juicy stakes!!!!!!!!!!

25 and 26: The Battle of Miraculouses Part 1 and 2 Ladybug and Chat Noir challenge the Bourgeois couple, now Lovereater, a two-headed cerberus who devours all the love in Paris. // Hawk Moth akumatizes Chloe into Miracle Queen to put in place a fatal plan. Will Ladybug and Chat Noir escape it?

I merged the episodes. So looks like Queen’s Fight part 2 (Or 5 and 6 lol). Maybe an actual Chloe redemption arc. I mean, it’s at the end of the season, so there shouldn’t be any continuity issues. I really hope this is the Reveal, like either LB or Chat get hurt and have to detransform or something. Or maybe we’ll finally resurrect Emlilie. There’s not too much to go on here. However, I can’t help but think of the hilarious thought of the Bourgeois in marriage counseling, and that’s how this all happened. And then Chloe is upset that her parents were akumatized AGAIN. TOGETHER. and that’s her downfall.

Also...this is Chloe’s third akumatization. Anti-Bug, then Queen Wasp, and now Miracle Queen? SDfawjelf CHLOE IS A HOT MESS.

So there’s my take on Season 3. I never expect this show to be flawless. But I never expect it to be terrible either. I enjoy most episodes (and if I don’t, it’s usually because of....design. cough captain hardrock cough) and I appreciate that this show is so popular and so loved. However, I think we need to dial it back a bit. These episodes have potential. And who knows? These synopsis aren’t the canon translation.

The creators do listen to us. We got them to air Queen’s Fight in the correct order. However, I do think it’s a bit unfair for people to jump at them for plagiarizing or whatever. Jade Turtle sounds very much like a Chinese super hero name. Chat Blanc? literally the opposite of Chat Noir. Is it possible they did? Always! But we should give them the benefit of the doubt. Thomas has an endgame in mind. He’s been working on this show for years. It’s fair to say he at least had a name and a loose idea of each villain for a while now, and Chat Blanc had to have been one of the first. Felix was a shocker, but I think I would have gone about it the same was as Thomas: claiming there was no way it would ever happen, so that the surprise is warranted and enjoyed.
