something i like about toxinelle!marinette having a goth aesthetic is that's a subculture where, just like punk, it came out of poor to impoverished kids being really creative with what they could get their hands on.
that's so relevant to the paris special's setting where it's an underground helping each other out that makes anything possible.
fishnets worn as shirts and stockings with runs or holes so they couldn't be worn at the office taken to with scissors and damaged shirts or jeans repurposed.
that's perfect for a dystopian setting. and for a marinette whose parents aren't supportive, but who's still creative and fashion minded, it's perfect.
