I hope this comes across as the vast compliment I mean it as, but one of the things that motivates me to write is the thought that someday, someone might have the sort of enthusiasm and passion towards stories/characters I make that you do towards Stormlight :D It's infectious and inspiring!

I'm glad all of my nonsense has meant something to you. I've been trying to get back into drawing, using this blog to do so, and it's meant the world to me to have other people with whom I can share that. I will not deny the role that external validation plays in inspiring further creativity. To me, art is mostly about communication. I post my drawings because I hope they'll make someone smile, and I hope you have people to share your writing with for whom it will do the same. I don't know that any of us are ever going to make something as prolific as stormlight, but I'm sure you'll find your audience, and I'm sure that your work will ruin their lives like stormlight has ruined mine <3
I'm going to be honest, my relationship with stormlight is very love/hate. (I actually worry CONSTANTLY that my online persona leans too hard into being just a hater, so I'm glad I don't come off that way.) A couple months ago when I dusted off this blog, I was fully planning to just read W&T, draw a few final pictures of Szeth and Nale, complain about Moash and Venli a bit, and then vanish again forever. But it turns out that talking about books with people is basically my favorite thing in the world, and it's been really lovely to get to do that with so many of you. I definitely would not still be here if you all weren't so nice and cool. My enthusiasm didn't really come from the book itself, you're the ones motivating me to draw more, and it's been super fun. I've been able to remember how much I used to love these characters. So thank you all for being here.
I love your Merch Mimics concept! :D Do you have any plans for making a game/story/longform comic with Mimic characters? I'd totally read/play it if so!
I really really really would like to, but admittedly I can't imagine the demand would be as strong for something like that compared to other ideas like fandom stuff. As a commission artist, I always have more of an incentive to do stuff for numbers, haha
I could see myself doing one-off arcs that feature/star different merch mimic characters I've made, and compiling it all together as a collection of sorts. To be honest my fauxrry/robot ocs like Kaita and Beth have more of an actual, concrete story I always wanted to tell, but they're in the same boat of being tricky to "market".
