Some of thetop photos from my performance/photo series "emergency shelter" which i did back in February. I salvaged this fabric from the walls of a multi million dollar estate in whitefish bay. In my job i frequently get to see inside high dollar homes in the milwaukee area, and i also frequently drive through some of the most downtrodden areas on the way to and from these jobs. As i removed these decorative fabric panels i reflected on the disparity that i witness everyday, and about how much money it cost to install and remove these frivolous pieces of fabric from this home.
