Kill la Kill Foreshadowings: Episode No.2: "So Sexy She Might Pass Out"
Hello beautiful people of the internet. My name is Mary and this post will present, as the title suggests, various foreshadowings shown in "Kill la Kill".
Because it's the second episode, I will also show foreshadowings in its first opening and ending.
Before we get into the second episode, I have to warn you that this post is gonna be spoiler-heavy, so I recommend you checking out the series. If you have watched the series and don't like it, don't write mean comments. Ok?
Without further ado, let's go!
In the first opening, Ryuko is shown to appear at the center of a rainbow-colored light not unlike Ragyo.
Ryuku's main outfit is black and red, two colours associated mostly with villains, why symbolises her connection with the life-fibers, the beings that want to take over the world.
Meanwhile, Satsuki's main outfit is white and blue, two colours associated with goodness. In the middle of the series, it turned out she was one of the good guys.
Satsuki and Iori discuss about the origins of japanese school uniforms, which are derived from military uniforms. It turns out that Satsuki has been building a student army to fight against Ragyo.
Satsuki and Iori treat each other with respect and Iori holds one of the most important tasks at Honnouji Academy (which is designing Goku uniforms). One could be wrong that he's a mere two-star because of this, he is actually a three-star!
When Mitsuzo (Satsuki's butler) asks Satsuki why she doesn't wear a Goku uniform, Satsuki replies that her sword is all that she needs. The audience gets the feeling that her weapon is something extraordinary. Their theories are proven right in the same episode, where, after Ryuku's fight with Hakodate, Satsuki attacks her with her Bakuzan and she is able to create an air force to send the students flying in the air.
Speaking of which, her katana's name, Bakuzan, means "to cut one's ties". When it's revealed she was good all along, she uses Bakuzan to decapitate Ragyo.
In the first ending, the wedding dress which Ryuko stares at through a shop window is the same one she wears in her mental world after being brainwashed by Ragyo.
That's all I've got to offer. Thank you for reading my post, and I am gonna be back next week. See you soon.😘
