Hot take apparently but mitsuocho isn't actually that bad of a ship. It has potential to be a banger ship, it's just that people keep trying to make it a budget Hironika and it's not working (surprise surprise, it's not Hironika). It has its own dynamic that people don't seem to tap into a lot. Put simply, Hironika is most often friends to lovers, mitsuocho is rivals to lovers. Obviously there's a lot more than that to it as well as the realm of interpretation, but in the basics, they're already very different.
