Edward Elric Headcanons (mostly pertaining to Edling)
I feel like Ed would be an unexpectedly good cook. Like although he's never had a lot of down time, he probably learned a few recipes that he will make when Al gets his body back.
So when he became a fugitive and basically had to survive with anything, he used his cooking skills in the woods. Ling can't cook for shit because he was used to being pampered, same thing with Greed. Anytime they were in the woods Ling, if Greed didn't feel like having control, would hover over Ed's shoulder as he cooked because he was just fascinated by this unexpected skill. Darius didn't seem to be the type to cook, but Heinkel and Ed would switch turns cooking. And if they are crashing at a lowkey motel, Ed would ask to use their kitchen and cook with proper utensils. Which Ling would absolutely be hyped about. Greed also liked Ed's cooking, since the home-like taste was similar to his old comrades from the Devil's Nest bar.
I'm so damn emotional, i love this chapter so much. I frl am just looking this specific exerpt and being in near tears.
