More than any other movie in existence, 1955's "Mister Roberts" makes me feel closest to my Dad although he's been gone for 15 years now. We would watch this classic together and gently weep during several scenes. Before he passed, I set out to acquire the autographs of the four leads with the plan to make a matted piece as a surprise gift. I never got to give it to him...but I did continue my pursuit of their autographs, completing it several years later. I still can't decide on exactly how I want to put the piece together but it's amazing to me to know that I've got 'em all -- Jack Lemmon, James Cagney, Henry Fonda, and William Powell -- and can make one hell of a tribute piece to that great movie.
