It’s About Time A great many memorable movies are about time. Often this is made explicit in the title—“High Noon,” “Suddenly Last Summer,” and, of course, “Time Bandits.” But time can also be lurking in the subtext as in Victoria Mapplebeck’s “Missed Call.” This BAFTA-winning documentary covers a decade during which a boy is separated from his father. Given the importance of time, we should not be surprised by the fact that clocks are such ubiquitous props. The challenge is to make them visually interesting.
